Great show, that's why I have bought the first four seasons. I bought is from.Walmart.com because they take PayPal. I got it site to store. Unfortunately it took 16 days to get it, because Walmart said it was a delay in shipping. Now the first issue I have had with Walmart site to store but I like that they take PayPal.
Lenny and Squiggy really let me down this time. I was never a huge fan of the first one to begin with, but they totally dropped the ball this go round. Not enough action, plot nowhere to be found, and bad acting by old and new cast members. Their heart just wasnt in it i guess. Hopefully part 3 will be alot better & barnaby jones will be in it. I really missed his part from the first movie. If you get it at all, buy it for the opening dream sequence. That pays for the price of admission anyway you look at it.
If you are a Stallone fan or a John Rambo fan you will like this film. It is an action adventure that does not miss on either action or adventure. If your looking for Great acting and dialog you should spend your money elsewhere. I like the film very much. Stallone brought a vulnerability to John that was not there in the past. I went into the film expecting a Rambo film, and I got it.\n\nIf you are a fan of the genre you like the film. It is pretty simple.
Initially I had no intentions of seeing this fourth installment of the RAMBO franchise. Why? Because while I really liked FIRST BLOOD, my memories of RAMBO II and III were of a more campy, 80s-type mindless action film generally made to exploit such traits. Those films, while enjoyable, where not made to be taken with 100% realism - but more rather as \"movie-escapism\". They were fun, popcorn movies. RAMBO is not that kind of film. In my opinion, this is the BEST film of the franchise (and if not the BEST, it's at least on par with FIRST BLOOD). Does this film have blood and guts and lots of explosions? Yes. But that's not why I watch these films. I'm not a \"blood and guts\" kind of guy - I can take it or leave it (mostly leave it). If it's thrown in \"just to show it\", for me it's pointless and a waste of film. But I don't think that that's why this film is so violent. The \"blood and guts\" of this film has purpose: (1) to show the harsh-reality brutalism of real-world, mindless, evil; and (2) to show the lengths at which one tortured man (John Rambo) is willing to push himself in order to put somewhat of a stop to such \"real-world\" evil. Many of the violent scenes are hard to watch (innocent people being killed), but they're there for a reason.\n\nStallone's acting and direction are excellent. As are the supporting actors. As usual, the John Rambo character is quite and subdued. He struggles with who he is (and even despises it), but this film helps to bring those inner struggles to a close by giving him one last opportunity at self-redemption. RAMBO hates WHO he is, and hates WHAT is: He's a \"killing machine\" - that's what he does BEST ... and he KNOWS IT. This film takes a serious look at a very serious issue (genocide); and inserts one fictitious movie character to see how this larger-than-life \"superhero\" would handle it - and he \"handles\" it as only RAMBO can - with blood, sweat and vengeance dished out par excellence.\n\nGreat movie.
I never received the movie & there still is no valid reasoning as to why my order ended up at Hacienda Heights instead of the store I chose. I didn't even get an email saying I could have picked it up in Hacienda Heights. Unqualified store procedures on handling orders is all I can attribute this to.
Lame shock scenes, crucial plot points inserted without setups, and an unsuccessful attempt to exploit the camp value of some actors cast in minor parts are the least of the problems in this black comedy.
This movie is god awful. It bombed at the box office for a good reason. If you see a Punisher movie then make sure its one staring Thomas Jane as its much better as well as much cheaper and can even be found in local Wal-Mart Bargin Bins.
I loved the first Punisher Movie, but the second doesn't follow the story line of the first. Different guy, different family, different circumstances surrounding the family's deaths. On it own merit, if I hadn't expected it to be a continuation of the first movie I would have gave it a better review. I thought the writers changed too much from the original.
Honestly, I haven't been too thrilled about the previous films. This one turned out to be an unexpected joy ride. There's enough carnage and hardcore mutilation to make any action fan scream for more. It's almost reminiscent of an oldschool grindhouse flick. If not to buy it, definitely rent it some time.
I got this six-season set of DEXTER videos as a Valentine's day gift for my husband. He is absolutely thrilled with it. The premise of the show seems creepy, but once you watch it, you grow to love Dexter anyway. Although he kills people, he only does so to the more \"deserving.\" Lots of violence and blood, so not appropriate for anyone under 15 (in my opinion).
