How did David Lean and star Peter O'Toole achieve such perfection? If we could define and distil it, we wouldn't need a special category for those flicks we call 'classics.' Lawrence of Arabia is that, and then some.
The movie Lawrence of Arabia, rated number 7 in AFI's all time great movies has been on DVD for years, the quality was fair, now the restored verson is perfect. It was restored from the original 65 MM film at 8 K resolution and on my 80 inch TV which is 2 K, it still looked great.\n\nArt
this movie is very cool. I saw it back in 1984. the special effects are stiil very cool today. but i do like the special longer version. Im into director's cuts. But David lynch version still is awesome. the singer Sting from the Police is good. I would say it's worth having in your collection.
I've had this movie for some time. It is excellent and a Sci-Fi Must have. I hope it is back in stock soon as I want to purchase another as a gift for a friend who wants one, and there is no way that I'm giving mine up, I enjoy it way to much !
