GREAT movie, but not the 2 disc I thought it was..
When I searched online, it said that this came with the soundtrack, but it doesn't. Don't know if they're advertising wrong, or if google got it wrong, but it was VERY misleading and my daughter is upset that she doesn't have the songs on a CD now.
Other than that, the shipping was decent, and the movie is amazing!
Kroot's film, with assists from interview subjects like John Waters, Buck Henry, Wayne Wang, Guy Maddin and Atom Egoyan, makes a compelling case not so much for the Kuchars' movies, exactly, as for their independent spirit.
It was a very well put together documentary on the National Film Registry from PBS. I like how they kept talking about many different types of film from musical to comedies to home movies. It had it all, if you are a fan of film history you will like it. I like how it devotes a segment to the actual preservation of film. If you are a fan of documentaries of learning about the past this is for you.
Celine Danhier combines talking heads with a flood of Super-8 and 16-millimeter film clips to create this entertaining 2010 documentary about the explosion of punk energy that propelled New York City's art, music, and cinema underground.
