The movie Cars is tried and true...cannot go wrong with this DVD! It is a gift for my grandson who loves this movie. So will make him a happy boy to have his own! With no commercials to run out of it while watching.
\"Cars\" is the story of what happens when a big city race car gets stuck in a small town. Entertaining for children and adults alike. Adults will also have fun spotting the celebrity cameo voices like 'Click & Clack\", Darrel Waltrip, Bob Costas, and many more. And gearheads will appreciate that many of the characters in Cars are modelled after real vehicles like Porshe, VW bus, Jeep, GMC wrecker, Hudson, etc...\n\nUnfortunately the 'deleted scenes' aren't computer generated or even animated, but instead are in 'storyboard' format (i.e. roughly skeched still pictures)\n\nThe Car Finder game is kinda fun. The game plays the movie and you try to find specific cars in a scene. The ones you find you can go back and get brief bios of each. Even the ones that were only on screen a few seconds have names and backstories.\n\nThe picture seems to only be a little better than the DVD version (when the DVD version is upscaled) so if you already own the Cars DVD, you may want to think twice about getting the Blu-ray (or at least wait until the Blu-ray is on sale). If you don't already own it, you have no excuse! :-)
This movie is yet another great animation from Pixar! Great movie for kids and adults. My 2 year old and 8 year old LOVE!!! The 2 year old will sit for a long time and really get into the story. Now that says everything because most of the time is can't sit still! LOL

The 2 1\/2 year old will sit for a long time watching and really get into the story. He does this with all three Toy Story's. Now that says everything because most of the time he can't sit still! LOL
It was sent as a gift. The first time it said left on porch could not find it anywhere. I called customer service after an e-mail which was a total waste of time. They reshipped it but would not mark it signature required . I don't know if it made it or not.
I purchased this movie for my boys as a Christmas gift. They had been asking to see this movie for a long time. At first I was hesitant being that the trailers I had seen were showing all violence. Also all the adult reviews had said the movie was inappropriate for young children and not a cute fun loving movie like the first Cars movie. How wrong those ratings were! We all sat Christmas evening watching Cars 2, and we all LOVED it. Both my husband and I knew the ratings had to be wrong, and were probably written based off of the movie trailers only.\n\nI would definitely recommend this movie to any \"Cars\" fan.
It was a very well put together documentary on the National Film Registry from PBS. I like how they kept talking about many different types of film from musical to comedies to home movies. It had it all, if you are a fan of film history you will like it. I like how it devotes a segment to the actual preservation of film. If you are a fan of documentaries of learning about the past this is for you.
