While one might have wished for a better movie, and a few smarter decisions regarding the screenplay, generally it's a riveting, even inspirational account of an American feat of arms about which few know but about which many more should.
The cast in this movie did an excellent job in portraying real life people during WWII. They made the events come alive for those of us too young to know what happened over there and brought tears to me during the movie. This is one heck of a great movie. However, it is so close to the events, remember this when you get it as your older family members may be really effected by the movie.
A sweet black comedy about a professional killer from Buffalo whose gangster uncle makes him join Alcoholics Anonymous in San Francisco, falls in love with a down to earth saleswoman and cleans up his act so he can be a neater killer.
