I love the movie. I have not received the item purchased which was order on Sept 25th. If I do not receive the item within the next couple days, I will cancel the order.\n\nGreat movie! Purchasing for my great-grandchildren.
While this is a handsome presentation of the Director's Cut on blu-ray, a 35 page spread including photos, filmography lists for Abraham, Hulce and Berridge, a page each for producer, writer and director, as well as an excellent group of selections from the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-fields on an 8 track CD featuring Mozart's music, it does NOT include the original theatrical version of the film, only the theatrical TRAILER!!\n\nThose looking for the Original version of this film need look elsewhere.
Turns out to be an inane fish-out-of-water comedy. Along the way it turns into a virtual McDonald's commercial, too. The fact that you can hardly tell the difference is a good clue to the movie's bad-television flavor.
Neither the establishing dramatic linchpin nor the final conversion of conscience is terribly convincing, leaving this pared-down rendition of the original work diminished in power and meaning as well.
