The first movie, Crank, wasn't going to win any oscars by a long shot but it was a way to kill off a couple of hours. I had never seen more than a few minutes of Crank 2: High Voltage on cable t.v. and then it was heavily edited. Like I stated, Crank wasn't going to win any oscars but Crank 2 completely fell to the basement of garbage films before finding its way into the sewer where it belongs. It comes across more like a freshmen college film project where the director only watched adult films and MTV for inspiration. The film contains more than a fair share of nudity and the writers seemed to have a juvenile fascinated with curse words, especially the one that begins with \"F\". The characters are pathetic to say the least and there was nothing in this film that gives it any redeeming qualities on any level. I am a fan of Jason Statham, the Transporter and The Expendable franchises are two of my favorite series of films but not even Statham on his best day could have saved this pile. I can't help but wonder if maybe Jason didn't lose a bet as to the reason he agreed to return as Chev.
This one offers some agreeably mindless fun in which the villains (including Norton) are truly villainous, the payback is satisfying in a purely infantile way, and the familiarity of everything is oddly comforting.
As almost every Jason Statham Movie HEAVY ACTION!!
As I said above lots of action, and a Great Ending. The only thing that is a little tough is it ia UK\/Bristish film so it is heavy on the accents and the slang. If you are not up on that to much you may want to watch it once with the closed captions on to understand everything but other than that it ROCKS!!!
A slightly of a different role for Statham. He's a bit less \"know-it-all\" than usual as he gets involved in a bank heist that has him in over his head pretty quickly. Not really an action flick in the normal sense. It's a good watch but not one that you'll want to see more than once or twice. Most of the supporting cast members meet with quick endings that suggest the writer just ran out of ideas. The video quality is excellent and the sound track is clear and precise, though I find the British accents a bit difficult to understand at times. This is a good Blu-ray to add to the collection considering the price it was being offered at by Walmart.
Jason Statham, is in a different role, and it\u2019s nice to see a depth of acting ability, as he portrays Terry, a family man, who is trying to make ends meet. Not everything goes as he would like it. No one is above the law, and the Politicians and Police officers portrayed in this film find this out \u2013they sow and so they reap. From what I understand, some of this is based on real events.\nStrong violence and disturbing content make this for those over 18 years of age.
This movie is Insane! This movie is A Must for any action fan out there. I got this movie for 9 bucks and its worth every penny. Every scene in this movie has tons of action and I really enjoyed this film. Jason Statham is one heck of an actor and really delivers in this movie.
