Cinematic and wonderful on the big screen, this magnificent remake revisits the grandeur of the western, tossing around elements of morality in the melee of good pitted against evil... Russell Crowe is splendid.
I have the Samsung BD-UP5000 Blu-ray/HD combo player - movie wouldn't play until I got the latest firmware upgrade.
Not only was the movie excellent, the extras that are on this DVD are incredible, the history lessons and the time put into the xtras was worth the purchase.
You will love this movie if you haven't seen it before.
I HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE MANY TIMES AND LOVE IT MORE EACH TIME I SEE IT...RECENTLY IT WAS ON T.V. AND MY HUSBAND HAPPENED TO WATCH IT WITH ME AND HE ACTUALLY LIKED IT...IT IS JUST A FEEL GOOD FUNNY LOVE STORY....EVEN YOUNGER CHILDREN COULD WATCH IT....LOVE HUGH JACKMAN AND MEG RYAN TOGETHER...I RECCOMEND IT FOR ALL YOU ROMANTICS,AND COMEDY LOVERS....
Cuts out many scenes - why? plenty of room on a DVD! Record it instead and save your money. Returned one copy thinking it was a bad DVD - NOT! Why would they do this? I have to wonder where this product might have come from. Maby not the United States...\n\nReturning it was a nightmare - my 75 year old husband got to walk from one end of the store to the other twice to get a gift card to take back to the counter to order another copy, then to find out they could only take $5.00 at the counter so now we have a good for nothing $5 gift card. What idiocy!! So don't order at the store either! And they won't refund shipping. just sucks......
I seen this movie in the theater. I thought it was a great movie. Lots of action and comedy. I bought this holiday double pack so I can have the Blu-ray and my mother-in-law can have the DVD as a christmas gift. Good deal if you ask me!
A time-travel romantic comedy whose best elements -- Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman -- overcome distracting plot holes, loose threads and assorted contrivances to make for a mostly charming and diverting tale.
It is Stallone versus the world in this crime flick. Stallone plays a sheriff trying to uphold the law as best he can in his small community. He thinks all his fellow cops are his friends, but little by little, he realizes there is something more than meets the eye. This is a movie that seems like it is going nowhere, yet it does not get boring, and it is worth watching just to see the ending.
Does it matter that every time Jolie's offscreen the film wilts a little? Ryder should be perfect as the bright spark; her lines are sharp as a knife. There's a gap, however, between what we hear and what we see.
