Influenced by Thelma & Louise and Waiting to Exhale, this well-crafted Girls N the Hood has social conscience and soul; Queen Latifah gives a career-making performance that should made her a big Hollywood star
Overlong, overdone and overwrought, the narratively challenged Set It Off gets off on exploitation shock and social-conscience schlock in equal measure.
I wanted the slipcover and it does not include slipcover as shown in picture. False information. I wasted an extra 3 dollars cuz Walmart says it includes it. Bought online slow ship but I love the scream collection. 3 stars for love of Wes craven and hatred for false information. SERIOUS COLLECTORS LISTEN UP: look elsewhere if ur wanting the slipcover included!
The pop culture references, the dance numbers and the in-jokes we enjoyed in the first film are here for parents and kids alike, as is the irreverent humour.
Received Item without the factory wrap. Blu-ray disc was loose inside the case and scratched, also had fingerprints on it. Was sent a used disc. VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!
A heavyset daughter who never talks but eats a lot is named Delightful, which is supposed to be funny. That pretty much sums up the movie's comic tone.
While Kingdom Come follows the formula for comic combustibility, it's even more inert than Bud, who at least comes to life for a brief fantasy sequence.
I rarely laugh aloud watching movies! This, the first Eddie Murphy version had me in stitches! I laughed so much my sides hurt and there were tears in my eyes!! Very clever and uproariously funny situational comedy. Murphy's portrayals of at least 6 different family members\/characters, as well as the Professor was brilliantly done, in every regard. The sequels? Meh.\n\nOne of Murphy's all-time best! Better than Beverly Hills Cop, the original. Great casting, acting, directing, scripting, filming, etcetera, etcetera. I highly recommend this movie for a lot of major belly laughs, no pun intended!! You will enjoy and you will laugh! Yours in Comedy,\n\nOldHippieDude aka R. Whitlock from Lake Tenkiller, OK
Lame scatalogical gags and worn pop-culture parodies abound, but the CGI animation romp is somewhat redeemed by the scene-stealing appearances of several supporting characters.
