Throughout the entire series, I was looking forward to Vishous' story since he has those special talents with that gloved hand and I have to say, it didn't really deliver. I know he had a hard time in the warrior camps when he was young, but his love life is a little too extreme. To top things off, during the last few chapters all I kept thinking was\n\"WHAT???.....oh please!\" In this book, I fell in love with Phury's character. The book overall wasn't bad, you have to read it to continue with the series as many important things happen, mainly with Phury and John, so still read it.
This is Rhage's story. Its awesome! He's supposed to be the best looking out of all the vampires and he happens to fall in love with a human. (Which is a huge NO NO) Not just any human...a human who's time is almost up because of her cancer. Rhage has to learn how to deal with the pain of falling in love with someone who doesn't have eternity to be by his side. The book has a lot of action, (he's a warrior) suspense, and its very emotional! Who knows, maybe it was just me that needed a tissue. The love scenes are very detailed, so its an adult book for sure. Its a really good book. Read \"Dark Lover\" first.
I fell in love with Phury in book 5 and now she totally ruined the character. Since Phury was \"pure\" you would think the love story would be amazing, but it wasn't. There wasn't much passion in it. He's in la la land most of the time having conversations with \"the wizard\" (his inner voice) which just gets him into A LOT of trouble. John's story develops a lot more in this book and the Lesser's acquire one HUGE member which puts the vampire race in danger. Overall, it wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't what I hoped for. It was still good, but not as great as the others. You should still read it, a lot of important things happen and sets you up for book 7.
This book was great. It explains why Zsadist is the untouchable warrior he is. It takes you back to his years as a slave and you see all the abuse he's endured which has made him a stone cold killer. Bella begins to be attracted to him in book 2, but now she finds out just how damaged Zsadist is and just how much it would take to TRY and bring him back to normal. This book has A LOT of adult scenes, so its not for young kids. This book has action, adventure and pretty much all you can think of.
This book was awesome. I love vampire love stories. Wrath, the vampire king, has been asked to help unknowing Beth transition into their vampire world. Their adventure is full of challenges and the love scenes are very passionate. Once you are done reading this series, I would HIGHLY suggest you read Lara Adrian's series starting with Kiss of Midnight. Her love scenes are more explicit, but the books have the same basic story line. Deadly warriors defending their kind falling in love...its GREAT!
