The desktop is internet ready but as I am a bit tech challenged I could not get the pc to recognize our wireless router. I e-mailed the Customer Service # that came with the computer and they got right back to me, very courteous... and will walk me through the process. I can't ask for more than that...I think all will be fine. The initial set-up went without a glitch. I would recommend a refurbished product...keeps it out of the landfill and more money in your pocket. P.S. I used my old monitor...so if you have to buy a monitor - make sure you have the cable to connect it to the pc.
I do not Windows 7 at all, am ready to pack order back up and return it and select differenr units with Windows XP Professional installed. I cannot blame the unit, but I was told how great Windows was and I am very dissapointed because a lot of the stuff I have is not going to be compatible with Windows 7, like my Belkin router, because 7 does not have the drivers for it and I have looked for days to try to down load them to no avail. SORRY BUT IT IS HARD TO GET OLD AND UNDERSTAND NEW TECHNOLOGY. JIM
so far, so good. unit always makes sounds but works. of course it's early. my other computer had many more options. no complaints cause I have a laptop to do that. keeping the box it came in..........just in case.
This sweet little giant loads programs and Web pages so fast I feel as if I go back in time with every click; and, when I want to upgrade any components, its compact chassis is deceptively roomy inside. The top slides off and layered components swing away to give easy access to those below so that there is no need for miniaturized versions -- with the lone exception of a low-profile 4.5\" graphics card; so it can easily be upgraded to a decent multimedia\/gaming machine for anyone but cutting-edge diehards. It makes my previous XP system seem like a geriatric turtle with a walker.
Good price but the product was not initally usable
The product arrived early, which was appreciated. However the box had to be opened because connections had separated in shipment. Spent much time with technical support to diagnose and fix the problem. Once that was taken care of the product works well.
The computer works great and was everything I expected. Shipping and processing time with walmart online is a joke. They shipped my computer three days later than the date the purchase date said it would be. I also tried to contact walmart online and all you hear are crickets.

Purchased this refurb for moderate office use in an environment that is decidedly tough on electronic equipment (i.e. temperature extremes, adjacent boat harbor).\n\nBest available processor I could find among the refurbs, more than enough RAM and WIndows 7 installed by remanufacturer along with Microsoft recovery disc. We've purchased many computers - new and on one other occassion a refurb - and this unit performs as good or better than our previous \"new\" purchases, right out of the box (after some minor set-up and updating on-line, of course).\n\nThe CPU and RAM provide remarkable speed when using Quickbooks and other business software, internet surfing, video viewing, etc.\n\nTruly a terrific value. More small business owners should choose to go the refrub route, especially given the available provessing power and the total warranty available.
I bought this for my husband for his birthday and the windows key code wouldn't work. it kept telling us it was invalid. not sure how my husband got around it but he got it up and running finally and installed a game he played on our old pc forever. the results were an immediate blue screen of death. taking it back tomorrow morning for sure.
When the computer arrived at the store I went to pick it up the same day. I Later got an e-mail saying that delivery to the store would be delayed. :)\nComputer was exactly as advertised, and in very good physical condition (clean, few blemishes). I'm not convinced the hard drive in it is in the greatest shape, but I'll be keeping an eye on it. The power cord that came with it is too cheap and not reliable.\nI'm satisfied and will be ordering another one soon. Refurbished machines make excellent basic\/utility computer systems.
