I liked the way this cleaner performed, but the one we purchased had a serious leak under the clean water tank that caused the clean water and cleaner solution to leak out and run down the handle when it was moved back to the operating position. The leak would stop after several seconds and the cleaner would work fine. I contacted Hoover service and they recommended I return it to the store for a refund. We were really disappointed in this flaw since we had planned on using this product for a long time.
I ordered it online on 11\/27 and its now 12\/7 and it still has not arrived at the store for pickup. The projected arrival date was 12\/6. Online tracking indicated it has been sitting on a truck in Woodland PA for the past week. That is only 3 hours drive from where i live. If i new it would take this long I would have just driven to Woodland to pick it up. I was planning on using it this weekend to get the house ready for the holidays. I am not pleased at all.
The LiNX works better than I expected it would. The battery allowed me to vacuum floors and carpet in main area of house without needing a recharge. It's works well enough on carpets for cleaning up what's tracked in but for deep cleaning you'd still need to use a larger vacuum. However, I love not having an electric cord to worry with or a canister to drag along behind me. Once I figured out how to open the trap door, cleaning was a breeze.

Works Great So Far
I recently purchased the carpet cleaner. I did lots of research including Consumers Reports. The cleaner has done a fine job of cleaning. It has left the carpet very dry therefore requiring a short amount of time before the room can be used. The automatic setting for cleaning and rinsing works super. I had a Hoover Carpet Cleaner that died this year. It was 10 years old and provided good service and I believe this new one will do the same. Good value, good results. I'm happy!
easy to assemble right out of the box, just one screw for the handle. the manual is not very informative but is easy to figure out. anxious to try it out and it was not picking up anything, as the manual mentions though by default the rollers are in off position. It is nice to be able to turn the rollers off for use of the attachments and the pet attachments work great. this is a powerful machine and not heavy like a Kirby and is easy to maneuver. the flex tube is too short and a pain to use even after putting on the extender, but works great for removing hair from clothing and jackets no more gadgets such as roller tape as the pet attachment is awesome. The other downfalls are that the canister is messy when emptying and it is pretty much all plastic so must be careful as not to break anything and the cord could be a little longer. I highly recommend this machine as we have gone through a lot of cleaners and dog hair is really hard on vacuums, this one picks up great has a lot of power and is not as heavy and loud as other vacuums. I would also add that the handle goes pretty far down for getting under a table and the rewind is great and not as bad as some have mentioned. My original search was for a Dyson pet, but could not bring myself to spend that much.
The equipment is easy to assemble with just four pieces to fasten on. I didn't properly connect the handle the first time and the machine wouldn't inject cleaning solution. I removed and reinstalled the handle paying more attention to how the linkage connects and the equipment worked perfectly. After some review of the instructions and opening and closing the the equipment and removing and reinstalling the dirty and clean solution tanks, it's easy to understand how the machine works. It's not too heavy and simple and easy to operate. I'm very pleased with the results of the carpet cleaner.
Does a excellent job picking up dirt but the attachments are not secured very well and fall off from the vibration of the machine. Trying to figure out how to secure them better without having to use DUCT TAPE
Two large tanks keep clean and dirty water separate

You get what you pay for
I usually rent the rug doctors for my carpets but I decided to stop spending money renting and buy one of my own. The price of this vacuum steamer was great ! It does not clean as well and as quick as the rug doctor but it does a pretty okay job.
I got one first- it works great and its light for me to push as i have arthritis. It picks up great!\nSo i also got my daughter one for Christmas!\nThe auto cord winder is wonderful.\nAll in all great vacuum!
I am very pleased with my new vacuum, so far. It is wonderful at picking up pet hair, especially the powered accessory. I am concerned about the durability of such a light-weight plastic casing. On the other hand, my last vacuum was also a Hoover, purchased in 1988, and it's still in one piece. Time will tell.
