Disappointed that the wood frame is painted, not stained (appeared to be stained in picture). I purchased this item for a child's room and have been using it for a few weeks. The canvas bag is easily removable for laundry day and seems very durable and has bright colors. The loops on top hold the bag securely to the wood frame and there are 2 velcro straps that wrap around the frame on the bottom under the bag, holding everything together. Just be careful when you take the bag off to do laundry as the frame will totally collapse. Bag is heavy, stiff canvas-like material with a removable wooden dowel in the top "lid" panel to make it easier to flap over the top opening. I would recommend caution for households with younger children as this hamper is very easy to knock over. Overall this is an adequate, functional hamper- nothing special, but it will serve it's purpose.

What our shoppers say:
great for organizing
We use these containers for storing various things, including the kids' craft projects. The containers seem sturdy, and I like that they close tightly with the snap-over handles, which makes it easy for little hands to keep their loom rubber band projects safe from the cat. We use the clear ones, and have the next 2 sizes up, though I use those more for storing off-season and next-size clothing. Please Note: The handles on the clear ones are actually dark blue (not the purple color they appear online).

What our shoppers say:
These totes are a great value!\n\nPros: price and durability. They are strong and hold a lot.\n\nCons: only stack 4 or 5 high, design is top-heavy and can tip.\n\nI used these to replace boxes in long-term storage. I have a 5x5 unit and found that I was able to replace all the boxes I had with these, but had less room leftover in the 5x5 storage unit because you cannot stack these totes more than 4 deep (whereas, boxes you can stack higher). However, these provide more protection from crushing, bugs, and elements than regular boxes.\n\nI was able to put about 2 medium sized boxes worth of things in one tote (keeping in mind our boxes were not packed to the brim to avoid overloading).
This could be a really great product if only a decent grade\/weight of plastic had been used in the manufacturing. The boxes are flimsy and the plastic is brittle and cracks easily. Don't plan on putting too much weight in the boxes.
