I know the GoPro cams are much more expensive but I'm not sure this would cut it.\n\n-The camera took very poor and blurry pictures and decent pictures only at 5MP. In darker settings, forget about it.\n\n-I took it to the pool to try to take an underwater photo on a nice warm day in SF (which never gets that hot). Within 5 seconds the camera's busy signal kept blinking and the screen went blank. I was not able to do a hard boot of any sort and had to wait until the camera battery drained completely. Once I charged it, it turned back on and was able to take pictures.\n\n-The small touchscreen sounds nice but even with my small hands I sometimes had difficulty using it. This is while I am just standing still taking a picture of scenery.
This camera did not meet my expectations at all. The video wavers a little. We do not have enough light in the area to meet what is needed to take good video at night. The camera took ok video during the day except that the video wavered a little. This camera does not have a light on it to help with low light, but it does have a bottom to lighten, but not enough. I guest it would be okay for a child, I would not recommend this camera for serious video footage.

What our shoppers say:
Great Camera A++
Used it during a vacation in Playa Del Carmen (near Cancun), Mexico. The videos were great. We rode the zip lines, did a cave swim, and road some off-road ATV ride at one park (Xplor). Then off to a Mayan ruin site (Tulum) and finally snorkling at another park (Xelha). The videos from all places were fantastic. A++ for this camera.
