A smart live-and-let-live parable, full of glancing, acute observations on all kinds of big subjects...that you can talk about with the kids for a long time to come.
Bought this movie for my son because he loves it and the copy we had got ruined. Was able to find it on WalMart.com for very cheap and did site to store for my delivery option. Came in a week quicker the scheduled too. Very happy with product and purchase.
My daughter fell in love with this movie last Christmas season (2011) when we saw it on Netflix, but this year it wasn't an option to watch. I purchased the movie and surprised her with it this year. She still loves it!
I absolutely love this movie. Personally, I am not much of a chick flick girl, but this movie is so much more than that. (especially if you love irish accents!!). The setting and scenes in this movie are gorgeous such as the irish landscapes.
Like an elegant set of theme and variations, director Ben Niles' beautiful, probing documentary about music and craftsmanship takes a simple idea and follows it in a number of directions.
This narrative gambit allows Niles to score a quiet but stunning rhetorical point: in their meticulous attention to detail, the blue-collar workers who've spent their lives at the plant seem just as artistic as any musician.
