This unit has good enough brush action to work carpet fibers and enough suction to remove excess water (you will still need to blot). You can use the expensive cleaning solution supplied, or use a spray cleaner and just put warm water in the unit. The success of your cleaning depends on the effectiveness of your cleaning solution at getting the stain to release from the carpet. I spilled applesauce on my carpet; I got it out by spraying with Spot Shot cleaner, using this unit to work the carpet and then remove excess liquid, and finally blotting with a chamois.
I bought this to do my stairs as my huge vacuum has made one too many unexpected \"trips\" back down those steps! Unfortunately this vacuum failed to even provide adequate suction to even suck up dust bunnies! Totally frustrated with it and it is going back pronto!!!
I had been looking for a hand vacuum that is belt drive and not air driven for a while now. I used it the same day that it arrived and let me tell you, my stair carpets look brand new with no pet hair on htem.
Just got the Eureka rapid clean step corded hand vacuum. I've been leery of purchasing a hand vac thinking they would not have much suction. Wow!! this one is very powerful and the rotary brush picks up dirt as well as my upright does. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has carpet stairs.
it has great pick up power the only fault I see in this unit is the long floor tool is this machines biggest short coming it is a weak design, It will snap in two pieces where it expands to make it longer I have one and so does my friend both broke in the same location the 6th time it was used. We both glued it and it works great. but we both love the machines mobility and how well it picks up
This is the best cordless hand vacuum there is.\nThis is one of only two cordless hand vacuums that have a lithium-ion battery. The other vacuum is twice the price and, in my opinion, is not as good. Lithium-ion batteries have the highest energy density of all available batteries, do not have the undesirable \"recharge memory\" of nickel-cadmium batteries, and stay charged longer than nickel-metal-hydride batteries.\nThe Hoover LiNX BH50030 vacuum is light weight, is compact enough to fit into tight areas to clean, and has better suction than many full size corded vacuums.\nIt comes with several tools, including a motorized brushroll head which is very easy to clean.\nThe dust bin and filter are simple to uninstall, clean, and reinstall.\nOverall, this vacuum cleans remarkably well.\nMy only minor complaint is that the crevice tool could be longer to reach better into crevices.\nAs with all cordless tools, I recommend you purchase a second battery (Hoover part number BH50000) so you can vacuum using one battery while the other battery is recharging.
This is a decent hand vac. I have the regular Bissell Pet Hair vacuum and I love the Bissell products so buying this wasn't a hard choice. It's suction power is pretty decent and it's a nice looking hand vac that can be wall mounted just about anywhere.
