Graham Crowden was a British actor who was often cast as a curmudgeonly eccentric. He appeared in several BBC-produced shows, including A Very Peculiar Practice and Waiting For God. Crowden was offered the role of Doctor Who in 1974, but he turned down the part. He costarred in several films throughout his career, making memorable turns in The Little Prince, Out of Africa, and the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only.
