I go this as my first road bike, i had already read the reviews about this bike and i decided to purchase it any way. First i will say that the brakes are infact terrible i would replace them as soon as u can. The tires so far have held up and i have about 75 miles on them. The bike isnt the lightest at about 28 lbs but what can you expect for 200 bucks. The bike is large enough to fit me and i am 6'1 so i think the frame size would be either 58 or 60 cm. So far the crank set and lower assembly have held up well enough but it is to soon to tell how durable they really are. The seat is really uncomfortable so if you value the health of your perenium artery or your man hood i would replace the seat with a more anatomical seat. The shifter set is located on the headset which make shifting clumsy but not hard to do just takes some getting used to also if you have long enough legs like my self u will knock your knees off the shifter when attacking a hill or during a sprint. Overall though i would say that this a great starter bike for anyone who is interested in getting started with road cycling. Also would make a good sec bike for someone who travels and doesnt want to take there more expensive bike with them.
