I remember watching this show as a teenager. It is as funny now as it was then. Eve Arden and Kaye Ballard were a comedy dreamteam in the Lucy and Ethel tradition. It is a shame the networks gave it only 2 years because it could have been a huge hit given another year or two.

This movie grabs you right from the start and won't let you go. The acting in it is superb and the storyline is very unique--very brilliant. It's not the most uplifting movie, but I'd recommend it to anyone as an excellent example of dramatic film noir.
A creaking plot is made bearable by gorgeous colour, the even more gorgeous Hayworth, some oddly unsentimental and unsettling flashbacks with her playing her character's turn-of-the-century grandmother.
