The setting in deserted Moscow is the biggest point of difference about this ho-hum end of the world scenario. Also invisible is the tension to give this apocalyptic sci-fi action thriller scares and impetus.
1st 3D movie I bought for my new 50" 3D TV no good
I wanted a good priced Blu-ray 3D movie for my new 3D TV, so I bought this one, not many in store to choose from the day after Black Friday. Movie was low budget and so was the 3D effects. More like 2D, the picture was great felt like was in the movie but the 3D effects were not there nor was the story good. Only one quick explossion did a small piece come at you once in the whole movie, had to rewind to make sure. Not what we were looking for in a 3D movie. Hope this helps to find what you might be looking for?
The acting in this movie was phenomenal!!! Had me so into it from the very begining & on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Had some crazy twists I didn't see coming.
Sean Penn gives a meticulously detailed performance as the cagey and charismatic pol, but credit should also go to Dustin Lance Black, whose script squarely locates Milk at the center of his community, his city, and his cause.
I have lived on the east coast my whole life and never knew the significance of Harvey Milk. What a wonderful story of a man who changed the city of San Franscisco, but the ripple effect has impacted all Americans directly and indirectly. I would recommend this movie for anyone over the age of 16. The acting was beyond amazing, especially considering Sean Penn and Scott Franco are straight....they did a great job with their gay roles and were very believable in their love for each other. This movie is an important piece of our history and I really enjoyed it.
I found the never-ending circle of skates, booze, drugs and girls rather repetitive and boring, but skate-board fanatics will lap up every intense moment
Although she comes across as bordering on insufferable, we are expected to understand that Sandy is the touchstone of honesty in the film because, like other American films of the Sundance variety, eccentricity signifies emotional authenticity.
Overall though, it's a messy, superficial affair: it lacks focus, shifts uneasily in tone, and shoehorns in star names (Sharon Stone, Bruce Willis) to little effect.
