EA Sports dropped the ball on this one. The gameplay is THE EXACT SAME as NCAA Football '13, except for a few areas where it's worse. There are plenty of problems with throwing the ball, and way too often on a FB Dive play the quarterback will keep the ball for no reason whatsoever(not an option play, trust me) and get tackled for -5 yards. So many less preplay settings(you can't tell your defenders to go for the pick or the tip anymore...that was the absolute key to my pass defense in other ncaa games). Injuries don't reflect reality. There's a complete lack of hustle on no huddle plays, which makes zero sense whatsoever. Holding the right trigger no longer tells your player to sprint. It tells him to quickly accelerate, so if you hold it down, your player gets exhausted after 5 yards and pretty much starts walking. This would be alright if your player actually ran fast without pressing RT. But he doesn't. The worst thing about the gameplay though is the lack of flags. If you want to make a game that really reflects real-life football, you have to make ridiculous penalties and questionable holding calls like real referees do. In this game, you get one flag MAYBE every 3 games or so. Cuz that makes sense, right? And those are just the problems with the in-game play.\nRecruiting is even worse. THERE'S NO PHONE CALLS ANYMORE! Making phone calls and promises to high school players(and subsequently having your players trust you or not) was the absolute coolest things about former NCAA football games. In this game, you just allocate points towards recruits. It's stupid and there's no ability to steal recruits from other schools. You can't schedule activities during the visits anymore either.\nOverall, I give the gameplay itself a 3\/5. It still reflects the beauty of former NCAA football games, but there's many more problems. As far as meeting expectations, it easily gets a 1\/5. It would get a zero if it was possible. This game should have been INCREDIBLE. Instead, it's below mediocre, at best. Super disappointed in EA Sports and the entire NCAA Football franchise. Especially considering this is the last game in the franchise, they should have tried harder to fix bugs. If you are reading this review and thinking about buying this game, DON'T!!! You can buy NCAA Football '13 for half the price and double the quality.

What our shoppers say:
This was a gift for my Grandsons birthday and it was not on time as the site stated the date of arrival and it was a day later than site had said. Overall the game is just what he wanted and the price online was over $20.00 cheaper than in store. I would recommend this but, watch the delivery date if you need it at a certain time. Also this was shipped to my home free not site to store.
Pros : The game has many great teams and many not-so great teams. It has realistic Dynasty Mode's and tough situations on the court. Also, i love how you don't make every shot you take from who knows where. Really worth the price!\n\nCons : The graphics aren't great, and the fouls aren't realistic. After \"and ones\" the players do ridiculous stuff that doesn't look to realistic either. They made the University of Kentucky reek, while they made players have the highest rating of 70. Most great players were like 67-69. They made were the guy from UNC - Ashville couldn't dunk...I don't like that.\n\nWell, I recommend this game to basketball fans!
all madden highly enetertaining, however more options with franchise mode and even though some players no longer still cool to get to use them even for one year, history of game displayed well, highly replayable, outdated by todays standard yeah , todays games more on-line options but still all in all fun again thats whats all about .enough optuions draft, trades everything you want in afun simple to play game.madden still rocks, maybe at its height back then..
Alright Madden 11 is good but it really did not meet my expectations at all. I thought that this game was going to even be better than Madden 10. Because I played Madden 10 before this game and it was way better. Madden 10 had good gameplay while this game kinda fell back. Not much but a little bit. Another thing that frustrates me was the defense. If the people have a fast paced offence it will be really hard to call the right play before the offence goes out on the field. Another thing is the player ratings and the players that play in the game. Sometimes I can not figure out how a quarterback that has a rating of 91 throw 5 interceptions in one game and at the end of the season throw 37. And that was when I did not even play any games in my season. Another thing is that the franchise is a little bit bad. And when it comes to the trades this is the worst in my opinion I have ever seen. I can get a player rated 93 for a player rated 69 and a first round draft pick. That was crazy. The online is okay but if Madden 10 still had online I would be playing that online instead of Madden 11. Overall, I rather be playing Madden 10 or I would also suggest trying Madden 12. If you don't want to get Madden 12 and you rather buy either Madden 11 or Madden 10 pick Madden 10. Better game overall. Or if you want online then buy Madden 12 that is also a great game.
Gave it to my grandson for xmas and he could not wait to get home to play it. He was very excited. The games could be cheaper almost $60 is a lot for a game, I think. When the game is no longer popular it is amazing how much the price goes down.
