Great story. Absolutely some of the most beautifully captured cinematographic scenes imaginable.\nFunny, sad, and tragic, all in one movie, with a truly captivating musical score. Having written this, I assure you that I am not a homosexual, even if it sounds so, and really do like this movie. Thanks for reading my review.
this is one of my all time movies that has beautiful scenery and cultural insights, but it is\na 2 disc movies that has extra features on the second disc. This second disc was not with\nmy video. Would not recommend this to any one. Think I missed out on a lot of amazing\nscenery.
I absolutely adore this movie. I've watched it multiple times and every time I end up in tear. I originally rented it from a redbox or blockbuster express stand because I never saw it in theaters. I didn't immediately go out to buy it just because I didn't want to spend so much money on just one dvd, no matter how much I loved the movie; but I was glad when the price came down on it and I went and picked up and have been watching it ever since
I purchased DVD. I hadn't seen the movie in years and I remember that Denzel was nominated for best supporting male. He lost but I remember people talking about that one lone tear that fell from his eye in this movie. I couldn't find it at any other stores. So I checked here and found it. Matthew Broderick's performance was excellent. This movie was better then I remember it. I would reccomend this DVD.
The more I see of their work, the more I realise that directors Ed Zwick and Sam Mendes have one thing very sharply in common -- both are filmmakers who make movies that they think are far more important than they actually are.
This movie is an incredible watch!! The story is so sad and thought-provoking.. It really makes you think about the innocent lives that are being lost due to diamonds.\nThis movie doesn't hold back on the truth, and reveals some heart-breaking truths about those suffering in Africa.\nLeonardo did an AMAZING job acting in this movie. Watch this movie. It's worth it!!!
It's difficult to sustain a responsible subtext when you're delivering the jolts required to keep butts in the seats.

Even at its most unbelievable, The Siege has the performances of Washington and Bening to fall back on, and a theme that understands that what's difficult is not choosing right from wrong but 'choosing the wrong that's more right.'
