loading product information I buy the DC26 because I need something more light for my spine (scoliosis), I have my old vacuum, steel working great a DC23. I was worry for the power, but is the same, the only thing is I must empty the vacuum more often because is really really to much more small. I can't be more happy and I don't get out of my surprise.\n\nThe another thing is the turbine brush in this vacuum is to much easy to move forward and backward and that is a big relief to my back.\n\nReally one more thing, is something very logic. Because when you pull the hose this vacuum is more, well really really to much more light, you back, arm, shoulder and hand don't feel so much pain.

loading product information I had tried my SIL's upright, but being a canister fan, wasn't impressed at all. I'm still not sure about this vacuum. Since I have mostly hardwood floors, I've recently ordered the floor tool. One would think at this price and current decorating trends, that attachment would be included.\nThe suction adjustment for thicker rugs is not at all friendly to use. I was able to get it to lock into place once (an accident?) but not since and the instructions lack detail. I'm also having trouble adjusting to it's light weight, seems toy-like and not sturdy.\nOn a positive note, I have 2 cats, 1 with medium length fur. The furniture\/step attachment is great; much easier and more efficient than my beloved Kenmore. At this point, this is the only reason I would recommend it.

loading product information I have not yet used this vacuum because we are in the process of remodeling our kitchen\/family room\/foyer and I am waiting for the hardwood floors to be installed. But I can say that the price at Walmart was very good, especially since it came with a choice of attachments - which makes it an even better deal. Can't wait to use this vacuum on my new hardwood floors. (And can't wait to be finished the very slooooow process of our remodel!)
