I purchased this dirt devil when my old one just gave up and would not work anymore. It was one of the first one's they made. This one does not pick up as well, and does not hold a charge as long,I'm really disapointed. Would not purchase another one.
It's a shame that vacuums come with only a year or two warranty, we have to buy a new one every year? I did buy the extended warranty on this. It is my first bag less vacuum and I was right, I don't like it. I have asthma and allergies and I have to wear a medical mask when I empty the container because dirt and dust flies every where and all over the garbage bag. It does pick up dirt and hair much better than my old vacuum but I don't see this lasting very long. It was all that I could afford right now.

What our shoppers say:
Don't use on your Dirt Devil Vacuum!
I have been using these bags for years and have had problems with my vacuum. I always thought it was the vacuum causing the problems, but I recently bought Dirt Devil bags to use and my vacuum runs great now. I figured this out by remembering that I used Dirt Devil filters for my A\/C one time and started to have problems with my A\/C and knew that it had to been the filters that caused it. The filter as well as the vacuum bags won't allow air to flow through, and that's what is causing the problems.
The suction on this vacuum is amazing. It is perfect for our hardwood floors. The vacuum is very lightweight and versatile. It is really hard finding a vacuum that will pick up good on hardwood floors. Vacuum says it is for hardwood floors and carpet, however it doesn't pick up on carpet so well. It does for light stuff, but not as well as a regular vacuum. It's pretty obvious it won't do as good of a job as a normal vacuum, but I was hoping for a bit more suction on carpet. Hardwood floors...it's GENIUS!!!!
