In a time where movies are watered down rushed pieces of CGI **** I looked to the past for a good movie. Glad I did. I have seen 10000000 movies some people might say I'm a movie buff. Never thought this movie I danced around watching for years would be anything near as good as reviews I had read on it, however I was wrong. Loved it. Might have broke my top ten all time. It's not for everyone but you will either love it or absolutely hate it. You should know about 20 min in. Highly recommend.
An excellent film which registers strongly on all levels, whether it's in its breathtaking panoramic shots of the dusty Texas plains; the personal, dramatic impact of the story itself, or the resounding message it has to impart.
This movie is a classic!!! If you havent seen it You're cheating yourself.\nThey dont make movies like this anymore because they dont have big enough stars for them.\n\nRock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean are FANTASTIC !!!
At once anecdotal and revealing, this excellent film both illuminates the catastrophes that beset one particular project, and shows, by way of comparison, exactly what American film has foregone since the '70s.
Boy, after watching this doc, it's hard to believe this movie ever made it to the screen. And yet it is now a cult film that will last forever. I saw this on a PBS channel many many years ago and was glad Walmart actually had it. A true gem!!!!!
