The plot's so much old rote, and the characters have all the personality of protoplasm; but the anthropomorphising of this microcosmic metropolis is wonderfully imaginative, and the dialogue decidedly spiffy.
I bought this movie for my kids a while back, and they love it. It's very kid friendly even for younger viewers. My recent purchase for this order is simply to replace it where my kids played it so much it has become scratched and now lost.
The most notable aspect of this trashy (but unenjoyable) biopic of Jacquleine Susann, Valley of the Doll's best-selling author, is its running time (93 minutes); Bette Midler and Nathan Lane give two of their worst and broadest performances.
I had gotten this movie for my little sister (10) after she fell in love with it after seeing it on TV. She had asked for this movie for two years and I looked for it everywhere. I was so happy to see it finally re-released and she was super surprised.....she watched it 5+ times in a row! I love this movie, she loves the movie, it arrived on time and in great shape. I am very happy with my purchase and I think it's save to say my sister is too.
This is a family friendly little known Disney morsel. This movie is exciting and fun. Boys (and girls) will love this flick. It captivates the child's imagination as well as intriguing their curiosity. If you are looking for a Disney gift at an affordable price...buy this movie from Walmart today. Hope this review helps.
Around every corner is a new twist, a strategically placed misdirection or another switch of predator and prey. But while the gamesmanship is satisfying in moderation, it becomes a little monotonous in excess.
