The trouble with Harry, as becomes clear from this seventh and penultimate installment, is not that we have lost the plot -- the film is as tangled and as corkscrewed as Bonham Carter's hair -- but that we are in danger of losing everything else.
the movie is great. The method was terrible.\n\nConstantly was \"buffering\". I tried to pause it so it could preload, and not even that worked. It even buffered if I had to rewind - quite a pathetic an frustrating experience.\n\nI should have rented it from RedBox or Blockbuster Express. I won't download a video here ever again, unless they prove to me, free of charge, that their streaming doesn't stink and it's been approved.\n\nAwful experience.
I ordered this movie for my Grandson, and he loves this movie. I watched it with him.. I thought it was great how I could get it much cheaper online by preordering it. I had extra money to buy him another gift. Thanks
To be clear, I selected \"Recommend to a friend.\" because the movie itself is excellent. However, I gave it low marks, and I'll assume some of the blame for this even though I don't believe I should have to, if the description was more straight forward, because I did not look at the PICTURE more closely to realize that I was, in fact, buying the DVD version rather than the BLU-RAY version. Thus, the low marks. I blame WalMart for this, as I pointed out, the description does NOT directly state whether it is DVD or BLU-RAY. However, if you look closely at the different photos for each, and this is the part I \"overlooked\" when ordering, the BLU-RAY version clearly has a BLUE band across the top denoting Blu-Ray.\n\nAs I am all about High Def, I, unfortunately, \"assumed\" I was just getting a great deal on the Blu-Ray version. Hence, BUYER BEWARE. Since WalMart, on many of their items online, does NOT always give accurate descriptions, it is up to you to make absolutely certain you are ordering the correct product. Let my misfortune serve as a lesson to others.
I specifically and carefully ensured I ordered the widescreen version of each DVD. My order form and confirmation reflected this. When I got to the store, 3 of the 5 DVDs were widescreen and two clearly said fullscreen at the top. I returned them, and Walmart.com rep apologized and ensured I'd get the right version sent to me. Got to the store, after three different troglodyte employees went to look, they finally found them, opened them, and they were AGAIN fullscreen.
So I've returned them all and bought them elsewhere. You want my business, you hire people with more than a room-temperature IQ.
Walmart's website neglects to mention the movie cash is only valid for the first 2 weeks of the new Harry Potter release. The offer expired at the end of July. If you're buying this, make sure you're buying it just for the Blu-ray.
this movie is very good. The first time I watched it was on the day it was released on DVD and i uncountiosly fell asleep because of how late I watched it.I didn't think it was that good till I seen it a second time.(It is a way better movie when you don't fall asleep halfway through.)
This is definitely my favorite Harry Potter movie. I love everything about it. When I remember my favorite scenes, they were from this movie. I like the danger and the characters. There were some great lines in this movie. It is just wonderful.
I ordered this movie along with 7 others. This one was late but then I received the email that it had arrived at the store. When I went to get it, not only was it not there - the main office had no record that it had even shipped.\n\nThe movie has been delayed another 3 to 5 days but is coming to my house by express fed ex due to the error. Alot of hassle for an older movie - I would expect this for a new release with high demand................not one this old.
I ordered five DVDs and carefully specified widescreen for each. When they arrived at the store, I discovered three widescreen and two full screen. I returned the two incorrect versions; the Walmart.com rep apologized and ensured I'd get the correct items before Christmas. Another week-ten days later, I received the email that the new DVDs had arrived at the store. It took three different employees to locate them, and once opened, they were again full-screen. The employees didn't understand why I was angry and didn't understand the difference.
I've returned all the DVDs and purchased the set elsewhere. You want my business, you hire employees with more than a room temperature IQ.
The picture is beautiful & if you're a fan then you already know this movie is one of the best out there. We are changing all our DVD's to Blu-Ray so we can do our Harry Potter-a-thon in October for our birthdays (mom, me, & 2 daughters) we do it every year & I wouldn't go back to DVD again after this. Blu-Ray All The Way!
My opinion of this movie is that, for me anyway, it really wasn't all that scary. It was more chilling than scary. Understand that I'm 22 and don't scare all that easily. I would not suggest letting anyone under the age 12 watch this movie, especially not after dark (it's a psychological thing, you're more easily freaked out and scared after the sun goes down.). I think the acting in it is fairly good and if the stand-offish vibe is intended they pull it off quite nicely. If I had the choice, I would rate this movie between "Liked It" and "Really Liked It". I will definitely be watching this movie again and if I knew anyone that was into quasi scary movies I would highly suggest it; again, not for anyone under the age of 12.
This is how Harry Potter is meant to be! Putting extra footage back into the movie makes it so much more enriching and entertaining. The extra \"behind-the-scenes\" footage and interviews are priceless. I'm really looking forward to completing my collection of the \"Ultimate Editions.\"
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Ultimate Edit
Absoutely love it! I now have all of the Harry Potter books (paper and Hardback), all the Audio books and everyone of the movies plus the Ultimate Edition set. Now all I need is each book in the Kindle edition and I will have everything Harry Potter! Thank you J.K. Rowlings for writing such a wonderful series of book that introduces hundreds of adults and children to the wonders of reading!
I recently purchased these movies, as well as the HP Double Feature Year 3 & 4. They all work really well. The sound and picture quality is amazing! The price is also very good- especially if you buy them in stores because then they are only $10 a piece! I am VERY pleased.
These are NOT the blu-ray movies. They are the widescreen DVDs burned onto blu-ray ROM discs. Don't expect an HD quality picture. The package says \"1080p High Definition\" which is true, but that doesn't me High Definition quality. This just means that they've just taken the widescreen dvd and enlarged the picture from 720 pixels to 1080 pixels. This what we in the industry call \"upsampling\". Larger picture but not better quality. If you thought that the price was too good to be true, you were right.
