| Actors: | Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Jeremy Northam, Jackson Bond, Jeffrey Wright |
| Director: | Oliver Hirschbiegel |
| Also Available: | The Invasion (2007) - $2.99 |
Having established an effectively creepy mood in the first half, the film eventually degenerates into a muddled mess, with Nicole and Daniel Craig dodging zombies while popping amphetamines in a desperate effort to stay awake. We know how they feel.
Novelist Jack Finney's body snatchers have appeared in some fine movies, but the only disturbing-looking thing here is what they've done to Nicole Kidman's lips. |

[A] movie based on a video game that's unafraid to look absurd but lacks the self-conviction needed to come off as camp.
A jerky, fragmented tale that jumps from one exotic location to the next without any explanation or flow. |

Charismatic Daniel Craig plays Joe Scott, a washed up movie star, addicted to a misspent life of sex, drugs and uncool behaviour
Whiile pic doesn't exactly feel like a vanity project, its weak script might have kept it forever in development hell if debutant writer-helmer Baillie Walsh weren't the topliner's good buddy. |

Director Sam Mendes is on course to become one of the great directors of this decade.
It's Newman who really stands out. Despite his advanced years -- he's 77 -- the man still has remarkable presence. |

I usually start a movie late at night to put me to sleep so it typically takes me a few nights to finish a movie. This movie kept me up. I had to see the end. This was based on actually events. This movie was horrific, inspirational and action packed. I was not expecting much at such a low price but this was worth every penny and more.A great movie!
When I picked this movie up on Blu-ray I wasn't expecting much. However it turned out to be a fantastic and stunning film! Great plot, acting, and historical reference. The picture quality and sound are great too!

Ultimately the movie is alluring and respectful -- its sadness may be what saves it from becoming sensationalist or trite.
It hasn't any rhythm at all, just a string of downbeats and a hackneyed old tune that equates mere survival with heroism. |

Love this movie. We have watched it over and over again.Excellent Product
This movie in 3D is exceptional and worth the purchase especially considering that it comes with 3 discs and a digital downloading version. KeithGreat DVD
The DVD includes several TinTin adventures that are fun to watch. We spent several nights of family fun watching the adventures on this volume as well as on volume 2. I hope I will also buy volume 3 soon.

The less welcome news is that most of the same shortcomings that cramped the first installment are still dogging the sequel, which delivers on action but dawdles through downtime.
This Indiana Jones knockoff goes down smoothly enough, and Jolie isn't bad at all. |

The cowboys: great. The aliens: not so much. There's fun to be had here, but it falls way short of the pulp classic it could have been.
I can't think of another premise this year that promised so many schlocky high concept thrills but delivered so little. |

This is a workmanlike movie that is never quite scary enough, and never quite ingenious enough, though the four leads do an honest enough job.
A well-acted but ramshackle mess. |

It's been a long time since I enjoyed a Bond movie so much.
I have no compulsion whatsoever in declaring Skyfall, in terms of cinematography, the best looking Bond film ever ... Action movies simply don't look like this - but ... this is no ordinary action movie. |

As a Lifetime Lover of the 007, James Bond thrillers, this IS, without a doubt, the DEFINITIVE 007 thriller you MUST get! To fully understand some of the events in this flick, you should see the two prior 007 movies, Casino Royal, and Quantum of Solace.\nI have ALL but ONE of the James Bond 007 movies, and this one is THE BEST!007 At His Best
Craig is the best Bond in years! Some the technical points were poor but movie was outstanding. New characters were introduced and one senior was removed as the drama of 007 continues.
