I used this product all last summer on my toddler and never had an issue. I bought a new can this summer, and it must have been reformulated because after spending 2 hrs at the beach with a hat on, my son developed a mysterious hive-like rash only on the places where sunblock was applied! Come to find out, it now conatins AVOBENZENE, which is a benzene derivative known to cause allergic type rashes in some people. So, perhaps this product is really NOT as HYPOALLERGENIC as they claim. False marketing. Needless to say, I am no longer a believer in Coppertone Water Babies and I will not purchase this particular sunblock again.
I really like how easy it is to apply this sunscreen. You can get your own back and areas that are hard to reach with regular lotion. The scent is pretty strong though, so I would recommend using it on days when you're mostly going to be outside. I put it on in the morning before work and I could smell it all day. I tried it again over the weekend though, and it was fine since I was working in the yard and doing other outside activities.
I like this Coppertone Water Babies sunscreen lotion with spf70+. It's not greasy, goes on well, and this one does not have zinc oxide so it doesn't give a white film on the skin. I even use it like a daily body lotion and skip using sunscreen on top of body lotion. I found that it is moisturizing and lasts long. Also like the smell. Just nice enough not to be too baby-ish smell. I used it on my trip to Africa and my skin did not burn or tan too much. I would definitely recommend.
I work outside 3-4 days per week for 8 hours in southern California. I am very light skinned and will burn even when there are clouds. This sunscreen works wonders for me. I apply 2-3 times per day and that is after sweating (I hike 8-10 miles per day of work). It can be difficult to rub in, but absorbs within 15-20 minutes. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a high SPF sunscreen that actually works well.
We brought this sunscreen with us on a summer vacation and were very pleased.\n\n1) Easy to put on\n2) Didn't irritate our 2-year old daughter's sensitive skin\n3) Cap Lock feature prevents leaks\n\nThe spray is definitely easier than a lotion to put on a squirming toddler!
This doesn't stay sticky like the banana boat. We just used it for our week long trip to So. Cal. and no one got sunburned. We did 6 days of amusement parks and beaches with two 3 year olds and an 11 month old. This was easy and quick to apply and did the job. It also has a nice scent.
