I've used Clear Care for years now, since it came out actually. Saw this next to it in Walmart and thought saving a little money isn't bad. First trial, so far I haven't made it through the first bottle of solution. It's put me through three pairs of contacts in two weeks that normally last me a month a pair at least. I'm now down to one right contact thanks mainly to the case design. For whatever reason the contacts stick to the little cage instead of staying on the center. The cage is sharp and tears the contacts appart. Never had any trouble like this with Clear Care. Purchased the two bottle set and the rest is going in the garbage. Won't do that again. Instead of saving money it cost me about $80 worth of contacts for a savings of $5 on solution. Very unhappy customer. Maybe if they fixed the case design it might work better but I'm sure not going to be the one to test it.
I like the Equate contact lenes Cleaner and conditioning solution. However, the price has gone from $4.98 to $6.88 for both the Cleaner and Conditioning solution. In addition the size of the conditioning solution has been reduced from 4 fl oz to 3.5 fl oz. I find this very dis-heartening. As shareholder I use to think that Wal-mart was a value friendly store and not one out to soak it to their customers. I am seeing their prices increasing significantly on much of their products. No longer the price leader or low price place it use to be. What is behind such large price increases over a very short time period?
