It works about the same speed as my previous PC. Some features don't work or work improperly. This PC isn't worth the money I spent on it but is a decent PC. Because this has Windows 8 on it some sites don't work or are unable to enter the sites. But I'm waiting patiently for the sites to catch up.
Pros: A great semi-rugged 3-year-old pro-grade laptop. The construction and build quality are top notch. 4 USB 2.0 ports is a nice start and the ExpressCard54 slot will take a flush-mount dual USB 3.0 card for a nice update to modern times.\n\nCons: Item received is not as described. Lacking 1600*900 screen as described, it's the abysmal 1366*768 that plagues all cheap laptops. Lacking Nvidia graphics chip as described. The onboard Intel HD graphics only rate a 3.9 in Windows 7 Experience, dragging down the whole experience. Most of the keys are covered with lettering stickers with sharp edges that catch on my fingertips when I try to type. Fingertips are pretty sensitive, so I notice. Mine came with the 32 bit version of Win 7 Home Prem installed, limiting access to the full 4 GB of installed memory.\n\nI guess I will see what CustServ has to say. Look for an updated review once I know what's what.
First of all, Windows 8 is ridiculous on a non-touchscreen laptop and should not be installed on any non-touchscreen products. It is totally ridiculous, useless and aggravating! I bought an Acer because my last laptop was an Acer and I am loyal when I think a brand is important. However, the touch of the keys is not what I am used to and I find the keyboard irritating. I am keeping this computer because I have seen that only Windows 8 is now being offered on all laptops and because Walmart only gives its customers 15 days to make a decision. So I will deal with all that I don't care for in this computer and I'm sure over time I will be used to it. I hope Microsoft comes up with some sort of 'fix' for non touchscreen users of Windows 8.
Fired it up and it promptly found and engaged with my home WIFI. I particularly like it that Walmart delivers for a reasonable fee. I live in the mid-west where it is about 20 miles to my nearest store and so home delivery costs less than the price of the fuel to drive.

Efficient Laptop For Anyone
It's a really good laptop so far as I've had it. The speed is good for loading different apps. It comes with a lot of extra features or features necessary to start with. As long as you take care of it well and not boggle it down with too many things from the internet, it runs very smoothly. The screen is large enough for doing art projects and using certain artistic programs such as Adobe Photoshop, which is why I got it in the first place. The product is exactly how it's described in the description.

Worth More Than It's Price.
I'm using this computer right now, which I got for my 16th birthday. I love it.\n\nPROS:\n*Crystal Clear Image\n*Light-up Keyboard\n*Touchscreen has no problems\n*Touchpad works flawlessly\n*Battery life is MUCH longer than the listed \"5 hours\"\n*Windows 8 is so much easier to use and more efficient\n*Extremly fast.\n*Dust and dirt don't show up on the beautiful silver shell\n*Easy to unlock if it falls asleep\n*Apps\/Games (Jetpack Joyride, Doodle God, Cut the Rope, and more and no internet needed)\n*Speakers\/Microphone work perfectly. (Very loud speakers. Mine are loud and only at 40\/100)\n\nCONS:\n*Right-clicking with the touchscreen is sometimes annoying\n*Windows 8. (Enough said about that -_- even though it's better with TS, it still sucks.)\n*Internet drops for about 10 seconds every now & then. (Might just be my Bright House because all the computers in the house, including my iPod, have the internet drops)\n*Pop-up touchscreen keyboard comes up at random times and it is really annoying at times.\n*Arrow keys too small\n*Certain installations that don't work with Windows 8 will have to be installed an alternate way
I'm really enjoying my new laptop. The system is quick, hasn't crashed. I've worked in photoshop while other apps were still open in the background including pandora streaming via internet. I was hesitant to get a red laptop at first because I really wanted a pink one but it looks good. I also wanted something a little smaller but am actually happy with this size. Though its a larger screen its still fairly light and easy to travel with. One thing that took me back was that it doesnt have a vga plug which is what you'll typically need for presentations. I knew it didn't include cd rom but I didnt see anything about the missing vga. Also the processor is actually 1.7 ghz. I saw this on the box when it first arrived and was going to return it but decided to give it a chance because I was going out of town the next day and needed it.\n\nThe laptop itself IS actually above average and I would've probably given the laptop 4 or 5 stars had the description and specs given the correct information.
I order a 745 Desktop PC and it got damaged during shipment. Walmart emailed me and told me. They refunded my money instead of just sending me another 745 Desktop PC. So I emailed them and they told me to reorder another an we will take $10.87 off and apologized. I just love Walmart. But back to the PC, my only two complaints is that I could not log in once I did everything, call service team as directed and they fixed it a.s.a.p. and that it doesn't come with Windows Office. So I downloaded Open Office and its perfect computer I love it. Thank you Walmart, tell you what if Walmart and Amazon ever joined together they would be unstoppable.
This is a really fast and sleek looking laptop. The i3 Processor is Amazingly fast and the hardware works great. The keyboard is easy to clean and the track-pad is very responsive, the led display displays beautiful colors. Also Windows 8 is the way to go it is a really cool operating system it is a huge difference that windows 7, It might take some time to get used to but the only problem that I have is you have to have a Microsoft account to log into windows 8.
I brought this computer because I really liked the toshiba I had before. This however had the worst mousepad of ANY computer I ever owned (10 in the past!) I fell in love with the Windows 8, but the mousepad was so rough my fingers got sore at the end of the day. If you plan on using the mousepad a lot, don't buy this. Also there is a defect on the mousepad that prevents swiping directly from the top middle of the mousepad. The mouse will then freeze until the pad is touched lower then moved to the top. I tried a different Toshiba & it did the same thing, so I ended up returning the laptop for a different brand. It's sad Toshiba thought this different rough mousepad was for the better because I really loved the brand before. Don't change what isn't broken! Otherwise the rest of the computer seemed to work fine.
