The Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N PCI Adapter with Dual-Band adds wireless connectivity to your desktop computer. Install it into an available slot in your computer, and enjoy great high-speed wireless network access without running wires. The Wireless-N PCI Adapter uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios for each band, Wireless-N's "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology is designed to multiply the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections much farther than standard Wireless-G

excellent hardwired ethernet router.
Works best with Cat6e cable from cable router to wireless router to ethernet router to work unit. Effectively doubling both download and upload data speeds in setups using Cat5/5e or more if earlier Cat cables are being replaced with Cat6e. For long cable distances from router to unit (100ft or more), consider using Cat6e shielded cable to minimize "leakage" from metal/wire containing walls just as wireless signals are similarly affected.

My main network card went bad and I ordered this adapter and it worked as soon as I plugged it in and the computer starting working great again.
\"You get what you pay for\" is the best way to sum this up. Working with this kind of technology daily, I drop that phrase quite often. That did cross my mind when purchasing this router. Placing it in a central location, high up away from any interference, it just cannot handle 3-4 devices connected at once. It gets what I call the cold-shoulder---lights are on but no one is home.
After purchasing a Cisco Linksys router 13 months ago it stopped recognizing the internet from the cable modem. I called customer service (case #120609-004400), was charged $29.99 for the one phone call, and after 2 hours with a technician was told the device is broken and I could receive a $15 rebate on a new or refurbished Cisco Linksys router.\n\nI opted to go to Wal-mart and purchase a Netgear N750 WNDR400 and had it set up within 3 minutes. Changing the SSID (network name) and password to match the old router, the many wireless devices in my home instantly recognized the new Netgear router.\n\nFor a Cisco Linksys router that I paid over a $100 only 13 months previous to be unfixable after paying a non-refundable $29.99 for a customer service call is an insult. I will never purchase another Cisco Linksys product.
