Purchased this to upgrade my DVD version to Blu-ray. The DVD is excellent but this Blu-ray beats it in sharpness and detail. The reds are rendered better here which is a good thing because red is a major color in this film.\n\nI'm disappointed with the case over it's DVD version. The DVD package is a beautiful presentation which gives the overall appearance that it's contents are much more expensive than it really is. Sadly, this Blu-ray, which copies the outer artwork of the DVD, is cheap by comparison. If you already have the DVD then you know what I mean. A suggestion may be to simply put the new Blu-ray disc in the DVD case, the DVD case being THAT nice.\n\nOverall, this is an excellent film and worthy of the Blu-ray upgrade regardless of the case issues mentioned above. Don't miss it especially now that it's under $10.
This movie is one of my all time faves. I like this new disc better than my old one because I can get captioning (the old\/original from years ago wouldn't allow it) AND the extra features are good.\nI will never get tired of this movie, Winona Ryder at her most beautiful, Gary Oldman at his scariest. Well worth it. I'll enjoy it for many more years I'm sure.
This movie is about Robin Hood a hero not a comedin, there were things in the movie that did not belong like the jackhammer they didn't have that plus shoe that had pumps on them soup cans has helmets there are alot of things that are wrong and it did not make sense this is one of the worst movie I ever got I think the one with Kevin Costner will be better.
The confused script trades in such heavy topics as alcoholism and child sexual abuse, but every dramatic scene plays like one of those schmaltzy Happy Days moments that inevitably drew a big 'Awwwwww!' from the studio audience.
I picked this movie up my daughters, because they are really into Safari animals. As we watched the movie, I found it to be extremely violent for a kid\u2019s film. They monkey character is constantly pulling knives & guns. His main focus is to kill the parrot for 3\/4 of the movie. Then I noticed one of the human characters wearing a shirt that contains the letter \"F\" and the letter \"K\" and its 4 letters long. The letters are jumbled, but it can be deciphered. I really do not need to go on; this movie is horrible (not to mention the animation is poor as well). I do not recommend it at all; the best part is that the box says \"Family Approved\". Well sirs and madams, not approved for this family.
This DVD was purchased for my 6 year old daughter. This movie is too violent! There is a dark undertone and I did not let my daughter finish this movie. There is a very intence (for a child) hunting sceene in the beginning and a very violent murder scene about .5 hours into the movie. This move is very inappropriate it made my daughter cry. I cannot belive Wal-Mart wants to have or advertise that this is a WM Exclusive.
This movie may have gotten terrible reviews but my kid loves it & it maintains the innocence that they are entitled to. I don't want my kid to grow up so darn fast. It's simple & sweet - for little ones. You can feel safe that you don't have to run in & fast forward the \"scary\" parts.
