I love both of these movies and now I'm sharing them with my daughter. She just finished The Secret Garden book and has been bugging me to watch the movie. You can't beat the price for these beautiful stories... I know I was confused because the picture doesn't show the right cover for the double feature. I took a picture of mine so you can see what you are getting...
The broad humour and cultural caricatures in the film's opening moments will be especially dispiriting to any English literature professors in the audience.
If you've seen either Black Christmas or Halloween, there's nothing new here: the hyped-up score keeps telling us we ought to be scared, but the suspense feels mechanical and fake.
This movie did not live up to its trailer. I was expecting a lot more from watching the trailer and should have realized that the movie usually has nothing to do with the trailer because the scenes in the trailer are in no particular order making a whole different movie from what you actually see. The animations were good but the story line left a lot to be desired.
