What our shoppers say:
Not manufatured by Brita. Protect Plus
I do not own one, so not a use review. It is not on Brita website. CS does not provide service. Protect Plus manufactures it under license. They say flow rate, when new is 1\/2 gallon per minute. There is no indicator and they recommend replacing filter even after 6 months even if you have not used it for the specified 2000 gallons.

Great product!
I purchased my Chrome water Filtration pitchers > 4 years when I finally weaned my family and I off of carbonated drinks. Buying bottled water got old fast & the bottled water I was buying was coming from Zephyrhills, Fl, a few miles away and probably from the same water source as my tap water. Pinellas county water had a bit of a tang to it so I decided to try Brita based on my cousins recommendation. I am so glad I did! The water taste great & on a hot Florida day, quenches my thirst. I liked the idea of having a indicator to tell me when to change filters. And the filter is still serviceable even after replacement indicates. [1 or 2 times but no more]\nSome people complain about the cost of the filters but when you factor in how much ''bottle water\" it replaces, the cost is darn well worth it. Now after all these years, the replacement indicator finally stopped working. I was thinking of getting a replacement pitcher but the price of this pitcher sure has gone up! I think I'll keep count of how many pours and replace when I hit 480! If the time comes when i need to replace the pitcher, i will certainly choose Brita again.

The lid does not even stay when you pour water, the water leaks all over and would all spill out if you don't hold the cover while pouring. Also the little flap in the front does not move when you try to pour so you have to also move that out of the way before you even start pouring. Apparently Brita was to cheap to make a lid that actually locks in. I will be returning it tomorrow for sure!
This quick and easy filter replacement fits on Brita model 42622.

The first set I bought was defective, and replaced
I had to replace the first set. I was not too happy because I ordered it online. I had to buy bottled water and use in the interim, which I did not budget for .\nI had to get my friend to return it to the store when she was able to.
I like being able to purchase these Brita Pitcher Filers in BULK at a good price Online...\nAt the stores, they are more expensive and you receive Less Filters in the box..\nSo far, this has been the best Bulk Price I have found for these units...\nI have used Brita Pitcher now for 12 years and prefer it..\nI have both, City Water and a hand dug well... I use these filters for my Hand Dug Well,\nas that is the water that I consume... They work nicely...
Like the shape and size. The only con I have is the top should have a latch - it needs to be held down with my other hand when pouring the last few ounces of water out of the pitcher. Other than that it's great.
Just purchased this, and I am very glad I did. Just moved into an apartment and it is a great alternative to bottled water. I sort of just put it together and didn't read the instructions. (Please read the instructions.) I soaked the filter in water, but I did not soak it upright. When you soak the filter, make sure it is standing. That was my mistake. My first couple of fills had piece of the filter in the water, but after I dumped that out, the water began to come out very clear. It tastes great. I cannot drink tap water, which my college friends think is weird, but tap water has a potent taste to it that I can't handle. This Brita does a great job, and looks nice too!
I have had this product for less than a yr and it leaks really bad to where I'm thinking I have a plumbing issue when it's this thingamajig the whole time.
Just a couple things I didn't expect. The large sticker on the bottom has a glue that does not want to be removed. The lid does not seal and can and did slide off whilepouring. Big mess. I don't think this product is made in America but it is ok and does the job well. I would recommend to you but leave the bottom sticker in place. Enjoy
I like Brita. I have a filter for my kitchen faucet and bought this to fill in the morning and have ready all day to fill my tea kettle and to drink as well. I notice it makes a difference in my tea. I live in a city and the water is chemically treated and tastes really bad and I have found that Brita filters make a big difference. If you buy a faucet filter and it does not fit call Brita right away and they will send out different connetors to make it fit. I have a faucet where the original connector did not fit and they sent me a couple of different ones and I found one of those that made it fit.
