Though the film feels like a requiem, Kowalski's heart is still defiantly beating.
Gran Torino is not Eastwood's best film as director or actor but it perfectly encapsulates his onscreen persona and his brilliant directorial career. |

Fantastic movie, not a real fast paced movie, but high in depth character building and relationships. Clint Eastwood plays one bad mofo, with a very high disliking for orientals. Worth every penny. Blu-Ray makes it just shine.Grumpy old men
I found this movie to be long and boring..clint eastwood is just a grumpy old man i could find anyone his age to act in this movie and pull that off..the only good part was this movie inspired me to go to hertz and rent a gran torino and run this dvd over until it was totally wasted like my time from watching this movie...i compare this movie to a third of the good the bad and the ugly...its the bad part.

Perhaps they don't create quite enough deeply funny earthlings to go around, but a thoroughly meanspirited big-budget movie is always a treasurable rarity.
oaded with wit, nifty little ideas and an extraordinary sense of design, but its allure is of quite a particular nature, much closer to that of Ed Wood than of Burton's earlier, and far more commercially successful, works. |
