Bought this bike online for my 5 year old son. I received an email that it had arrived to my Walmart store that I had chosen for me to pick up. So I went thinking it would be assembled. It wasn't. I asked then at the Walmart store in Petal Mississippi how much time would it take to assemble, they said about 2 hours. So I left called first before I made another trip to walmart. The person I spoke with said it would be ready in about 2 hours. So you can understand how upset I was by then, it was taking them a total of 4 hours to be ready. I told them that I had already been up there once and did not want to go up there again. They said they understood, and that it was going to be ready for pickup. So I ran some errands, made time, and returned to Walmart in about 6 hours from my initial call, plenty of time to assemble a bike. When I got there to pick it up again, the lady at the register informs me that there were parts missing from the bike and are not able to assemble it. So I was super upset!!!! It took them 6hours to figure out that there were parts missing, and the bike could not be assembled. So I didn't get my bike, and waiting on my refund. One very unhappy customer!!!!
This bike just looks cool! My 5 year old went crazy when he saw it.\nThe Red line tires the cool paint. Great looking bike.\nI got the bike fully assembled from Walmart.\nThe decals on it were put on rather messy.\nAnd it was really dusty and some of the bare metal parts\nhad some lite surface rust. Nothing a detail rag and some detail spray couldnt fix.\nIm sure its from sitting in there warehouse.\nOverall, really cool bike. My son loved it.\nLooks like its really well made. So im sure it will last him a long time.\nAtleast untill he outgrows it.
My family bought four of these dune buggys for the grandchildren and they absolutely love them! They are durable and go just the right speed for fun and safety. I was surprised to see how well my five year old handles hers.
I purchased this bike a few days ago at a local Walmart store. It would normally get 4 maybe 5 stars from me if not for the horrible, non-tilt adjustable seat. No human would ever feel comfortable with a seat position like shown, especially a younger child like my son. Okay whatever, so I purchase a replacement seat, from Walmart (around $16.00) and come to find out that the existing seat post wont come off the current seat. So now I need to purchase a new seat post ($ amount unknown) which Walmart does not cary. Why Mongoose chose to put such a lame seat on an otherwise nice bike is beyond me. If I knew this ahead of time, I don't know If I would have bought this bike. Buyer beware.
I recently purchased this bike for my 5 year old son for Christmas. It's very sturdy and was super easy to put together. We chose this bike because it had great reviews and it was just a plain colored bike with no character stickers\/decals. I was a little worried it would be cheaply made because of the price but it's very well made and seems very durable.
Overall this was a good purchase for a relative in FL. He loved the bike, it took a bit longer to put together than stated in the ad.....and one of the brake pads were missing but other than that, its a good bike at a good price. He uses it everyday.
I bought this along with another bike for my twin 9y\/o boys. My son LOVES his bike!! He actually cried when he seen it! Its great, he rides it practically everyday. I had one or two issues at first with the handle bars flipping when he was riding it but I think we've finally mastered the tightness and he's all good. Great price, gray look, and he LICES IT!! I was very happy with this find!
I CAN NOT rate this product due to the fact that I DID NOT receive it. FED EX delivered the bike to a local Wal-Mart store, then failed to retrieve it. FED EX is blaming Wal-Mart for improperly labeling the shipment.\n\nI am still waiting on my refund.
