There are things you just wouldn't see in a Pixar or Disney movie. For example, one of the main elves has an eyebrow piercing, uncommented on. Even more than that: two of the boy elves kiss... each other. It's progressive.
3-D movies are just expensive. I'm sure like, DVD's and regular Blu-rays, the price will eventually come down. For now, they are very awesome but hardly worth $35 per movie...even if you get 3 or 4 or 5 copies of it. What am I supposed to do with 5 copies of the same movie? One way or another, my kids love it and it's hard to match the smiles on their faces when they watch the movie.
Arthur Christmas is one of the most clever animated flicks around, especially if you enjoy British humor! However, the Walmart exclusive 2 DVD pack was a HUGE disappointment, and would only please Justin Bieber fans, because his Christmas video is on the second DVD. There are few other notable features on the bonus DVD, so save your money and buy the single pack.
This movie had potential. But it died shortly after it started.\nIf you like dry English humor you might like it, but for me it was boring and not funny.\nIt failed as a comedy. It failed as a Zombie Movie. They tried to mix comedy with horror and it died a painful death.\n\nSorry, but I won't be one joining those who find this movie entertaining. It will sit on my shelf and collect dust until I decide to throw it away to make room for something better.
Love this movie. Follows the "love stories" of several characters - romantic love, brotherly love, puppy love, love-after-an-affair love, secret admirer love, etc. Shows us that "love actually is all around". Also love the music and songs in this movie. I wish that Wal-mart sold the soundtrack.
I am one of those who loved the original Clash of the Titans, and was very resistant to seeing the remake. I hate it when Hollywood messes with classics. I saw a lot of bad reviews. But then I decided to give it a try.\n\nI went into with the mentality \"It's a movie, it's supposed to be entertaining; judge it for what it is, not what it copied.\" When I did that, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I found it very entertaining and watched it twice the same day I bought it, then immediately went online at Walmart and ordered this steelbook version of Wrath of the Titans (I also got the steelbook Clash of the Titans from Walmart). They both offer some slightly different versions of the story, which made it a little more fresh than watching a modernized replica.\n\nThe second one is a little light on special features unlike the first one, but overall I was highly satisfied and entertained. The storytelling was good, the acting was great, the special effects were excellent. Very entertaining. Don't go in with expectations. Judge it on its own merits. You won't be disappointed.
Don't leave earth without it and bring your towell
Turns out dolphins, doing all those tricks at marine shows, were really aliens living here and trying to tell us that the earth was doomed. This is how the movie starts. It gets even more ludicrous and ridiculous as it progresses. If you like the bizarre British humour as in Monty Python, this movie has it in spades. For me, it was funny at first and then just got plain weird after a while. A perfect vehicle for weird actress and aptly named Zooey Deschanel. A two headed president of the galaxy, a manic depressive robot, a fish you stick in your ear so you can understand any alien language and the book. A galactic encyclopedia which is like a nook or e-reader but with animated explanations. Awesome picture and uncompressed sound on blu-ray.
This is so great, Johnny Depp is the most gorgeous man on the high seas...this is such a funny yet action packed movie. the special effects are amazing. i watche this movie 3 tims the first day i got it. I hope and pray they make yet another one. yo ho me harty yo ho..!!!
It's best to purchase the set Blu-ray with DVD set oppose to buying one or the other since they can be used at home or on the go. Makes a great gift to those who love to laugh and have a great time with their loved ones. Price is very convenient for the price of two sets for each movie.
Astro Boy was, all in all, a sweet movie. This movie, though not as wonderful, reminds me of the Iron Giant. Loss, friendship, family, good vs evil and what makes us human are all explored as we follow Astro's journey to \"self\". Both tender and funny moments bookend the adventurous action scenes. This movie will leave you with a good feeling and is worth seeing.\n\nSPOILER: May not be so good for younger kids because of the subject of death, as well as war-like violence.
This is my first time to order the DVD from online and it went great. The price was cheap and free shipment only if I choose to appear at the Walmart store and pick up an order item then its free shipment. Isn't that great?! :) I recommand you to order anything from online of Walmart :)
