The result isn't very funny, and its sexual politics are as muddled as you'd expect, but Faris is sweet and likable as the sort of wise dumbbell Judy Holliday used to play.
For all Faris's buoyancy, this is nowhere near as good as Legally Blonde, or all the other vaguely grrl-power teen movies it mimics. |

i don't know where to begin. the picture looks terrible. it's not remastered at all. the dvd looks the same as the blu ray! as for the sound, it matches the picture. terrible! the case says dts hd 1.0 which means the center channel and sub and thats it! for some reason my disc had sound on the menu screens and when playing the movie in another language but no sound when playing it in english. do not purchase this on blu ray. keep your dvd copies they have just as good sound and picture.

loading product information OK yes this is a classic Christmas movie I agree. My only gripes is the Blu Ray version is not in the best possible Hi Definition as some other movies of that era. It is still better then the up-conversion of the DVD in my opinion. If I knew about this prior to purchase I would've not replaced my dvd copy.Good Movie
This is a good movie fun for the whole family to watch....never get tired of watching this movie
good old fashion classic. the the chirstmas one the best.

The best of the 10 segments is, perhaps predictably, the rare one without lofty pretensions.
I am not sure that any indispensable statement about opera has been made here, and purists will no doubt recoil by the irreverence of some of the images. But the film is fun almost as a satire of itself. |

The subplots involving D'Angelo and Newton and Ethan Embry -- the Griswolds' son, who can't stop winning -- have their charms.
A tepid fourth entry in the popular 1980s series that is decidedly showing its age. |

Clearly a labor of love, this sophomore effort from Turturro (a better actor than helmer), about fables and foibles of a tightly knit acting troup at turn of the century New York, is structurally messy and unevenly acted; a step fown from his debut Mac |
