When you try to slide the rods into the slots in the styrofoam inserts that grip them, they depress and will not readily accept the rod, especially at the butt end. I used a serrated kitchen knife to enlarge the slots. Then, on the inserts at the rod tips, I sprayed with WD-40 and the rods slipped in easily. So, I think this would be a work-around for the holders at both ends of the rod.\n\nThe price is right and I'm able to use mine okay.

I bought these mainly for myself to use, but also to share if my dad wanted to use them. I wanted fish gripping gloves that were inexpensive and easy to wear. This did the job. It wasn't stiff and was able to fully move fingers. Only thing is that its a one size fits all, since it doesn't give a size choice and it fit my hands just fine, with some length left in the fingers. So this may not be ideal for a big handed man, it maybe snug and just enough finger room for average male hand. I just used these once so far on my last fishing trip which these were intended for and will use again on all my fishing trips. I hate touching the fishes and hard to hold on without these gloves. So nice!

So I bought this because I wanted to try a fluorocarbon line that was cheap. I have the 10lb spooled on a baitcaster. It performs well, at first line memory was a problem but it seems the more i used it the less memory it has so thats a plus. But, I dont like the knot strength, I have had some breaks just from tying a polymer knot. But overall line strength seems ok, and the line is not as smooth as others.

I like that it weighs in pounds plus ounces, not hundredths of a pound. The battery is reasonably long lasting. (I gave this one as a gift, but have owned one for some months.) Good product.

my third time reeling in, and the reel handle broke. i have fished for over 20 years and never been so unhappy. terrible design. the reel shaft is very thin and it broke with no fish on my line.

Just got this pole and have broke the cork on the upper part of the reel seat putting on my reel. It doesn't allow for the top part to thread far enough down to tighten on the reel before the cork bottoms out and there was no resistance even telling u that it had bottomed out. I tried 3 different brands of reels non of them came close to working.

I have been a Bass fisherman for over 25 years and I am always looking for good to great rods to replace rods peodically do to age. this particular 6'6\", one piece rod happened to be on sale for $22.50 and I had a new $80 Flueger reel with no pole, thought I would give the rod a try since it was a Berkely Rod. I HAVE BEEN TOTALLY IMPRESSED AND NOW HAVE TWO OF THESE RODS!\nFirst fish, 5 casts after puttng he reel on it was a 2#10oz Smallmouth. 2nd fish was a 4#10oz. Smallmouth, performed PERFECTLY ON BOTH. I am now looking forward to the next 2 tournaments in the next ten days with great confidence! Oh, bye the way, I fish at least 8 tournaments a year and the new rods will be part of my tackle, TLT

Using this on an Abu Garcia 6000C Swedish made reel. enough line to fill spool with some extra, good price, cast well, for a mono it is very limp, line \"dig\" on reel not bad. I personally can not afford all the new braids and this line has held up well before. Breaking is closer to 25 or more. Just wish it came in more colors.

I've owned these before and was glad to find them quickly when I started shopping for them. They are excellent rod storage racks.
