I used this high chair with my second son. The cover will not wipe clean, and of course it gets filthy every time he eats, so you have to put it in the washing machine almost daily. It is difficult to get back on once you take it off. In fact, I have never managed to get it back on correctly since the first time I took it off to wash it. Because it's such a pain to get off and on, I just put my child in the chair without the cover, but it looks bad. Since the straps won't go back into their proper place, the chair now has no way of holding my son in, and he stands up in the chair when he wants out. It's a safety hazard. Another problem with this high chair is that food falls into the little basket that hangs below it. You will build up quite the collection of food bits if you don't remove the basket and clean it out daily-- another pain. I removed the basket, too. Basically at this point this high chair is just a plastic frame with none of the cute looks that made me buy it to begin with. Without the cover on, food gets stuck in the cracks of the chair and I have to scrape them out every night. The wheels are also an issue. They lock whether I intend to lock them or not, so to move the chair I have to bend down and unlock each wheel so it will roll. I wish I had bought a high chair with a plastic cover so I could just wipe it clean after each meal.
This chair was so easy to put together, out of the box and at the table ready to use in about 20 minutes. My 2 year old grandson loves it. I like the removable food tray it's easy to clean. I also am glad the chair doesn't have wheels, so he can't roll it around like the one I had before. Great chair for the price.
I purchased two. On one,the tray rests on the outside of back legs. On the other, it rests awkwardly on the inside of the back legs. Also, the slightest nudge causes the tray to fall, clanking to the floor. And, each wheel has its own lock which can be activated with a slight touch...very annoying when moving the high chair. The tray can be operated with one hand but it is so heavy and unbalanced that it takes two hands. If the tray rest was better located I might be able to get by with one hand. Otherwise, nice chair. Just user unfriendly.
I love this highchair and think it is super cute. The cover is easy to clean but not a hot plastic. I love that it reclines and is adjustable in height too. The top divider tray is nice for babies and keeping things seperated. The bottom tray will be great when our daugher is older and we need a place to set her cup while she is eating since it has a build in cupholder. The only downfall I have is that even with the tray all of the way in there is a lot of room for my baby. It is fine that she is little, but will not be good once she sits better and begins to feed herself.
Since we tried but could not purchase additional ones (this brand \/ style that were originally purchased in Aug. 2010), these at least had the same general coloring & decorative theme as the ones we already had in use in our (church) Nursery.
On my way to return this highchair to Walmart. Bought it a month or so ago and the back of it collapsed while my 30 pound son was in it. My son was wearing a buckle, he might have wiggled out of it before the back collapsed. I was sitting next to him but not facing him when he fell out backwards. The doctor says he is fine, but just thought I would put the word out.
