This movie super funny! I've seen it before and had to buy it for myself so I could watch it again. It is far from politically correct and makes fun of stereotypes but hilarious. I love this movie.
An ensemble drama that applies the Crash formula to New York and steeps it in Eastern religion, therapeutics and addiction while exhibiting a giggly suburban take on Manhattan kink.
Moviemakers who exploit the suffering and death of children to ratchet up the dramatic stakes belong in the innermost circle of hell, but Freedomland -- clumsy and overwrought as it is -- earns the right to its harrowing trajectory.
I could only watch this film once. Too raw. Down low behavior (between the husband and a womanizer who would obviously sleep with anything walking) was awful and shocking. Bill Duke is a good director. Movie was recommended...wish I had never seen it.
