Haven't really used it yet but it does get HOT
I would say this is a pretty good bargain. We got it for camping because we thought it would be nice to have an extra burner above and beyond our propane camp stove. We haven't camped with it but I did boil water for macaroni and also cooked some soup and it worked great. I doubt you could cook a big pot of chili or stew but we didn't need it for that, for cooking breakfast I'm betting money it will be great. Can't speak of the durability yet because we've only had it a short time but it seems well put together.
Works quite well. The hood is somewhat hard to close & you have to check to make sure it is latched. All in all, makes great rice, the appearance is nice & small enough to leave on your counter.\n\nL. N.
It is hard to make a fair review as I have used it twice .The first time I used the cooker the brown rice cooked was overcooked .It steamed the vegetable to perfection though. At this point I guess I would recommend it to a friend ,I would tell them to keep an eye on the rice though.
If you don't mind not using the hand crank then this ice-cream maker maybe for you. I wanted to use it at our Family picnic and by the hand crank not working, it ruined it as we had custard and no ice cream, very dissappointed.
Super simple to operate, this easy-to-clean electric fruit juicer works with both large and small fruits.

After almost four weeks, I still have not gotten it. It's been mailed out about two weeks ago, the site says I cannot retrieve or track the route it followed. It is held at the local post office allegedly because nobody was here the day of the delivery (I din't know the date because I could not retrieve information, yet I was here that day; it is my day off and I was studying in the L\/R. They promise to re-deliver it today, or else will go back to the sender.
I love this product, I use this to feed the homeless in a park. The Rice cooked fast and evenly. it did not burn bottom because I based it with butter and was easy to clean. I also kept original box with foam inserts in it to use while traveling in the car to keep rice warm once you take it off the warming base.
I've had this thing for a few months now. No matter what I do, when I cook regular long grain white rice in it, the grains come out mushy and exploded and undercooked in the middle. Sending the rice through additional cooking cycles does not solve the problem, nor does adjusting the water. Basmati rice comes out beautifully, but if I leave the warming cycle on, every type of rice comes out invariably scorched on the bottom. We prefer basmati rice so it works fine for us, but I would not recommend this product to anyone trying to cook regular rice. It also seems pretty flimsy and is not as convenient to clean as other models.
Great price for a rice cooker that makes cooking rice very easy and if you don't like non-stick pots then this is one for you with a thick stainless steel removable pot that is made well and cleans very easily. The only drawbacks of this cooker is that it has a small steam hole in the glass cover that spurts out little squirts of boiling hot water, super hot steam and whatever you are cooking as it cooks and makes a little mess on the glass top and around the cooker. The steam and water will also easily burn your hands if they get near the steam hole. I wish that there was a screen on the hole or other method to stop the water from spurting out so much. There is a good amount of steam that is produced and a fair amount of water will condensate under your cabinets if you cook on a counter with cabinets above. The other minor drawback is that the rim of the stainless steel removable pot has a lip that is on the outside of the pot which keeps the interior of the cooker underneath the pot clean, but also gets very hot and will burn you. Probably not a good idea to leave unattended around children if they can get near. Other than that it's makes great rice quick and if you don't go near it when it's cooking and don't mind wiping a up a little spillage, it's perfect.
I wanted a stainless steel cooking bowl, didn't want those non stick coated chemical ones. So glad to find this. Unfortunately, the glass lid has a breathing hole - when the rice was cooking, the liquid splashed from the hole and got on my countertop, a lot! I returned it.
It's ok for a starter rice cooker, but it seems every one is different. My mom's doesn't cook evenly at all(one half is burnt and the other not cooked), mine burns if I cook less than 2 cups and doesn't cook evenly if I cook more than 2 cups, my friend's just can't make up its mind whether it wants to work properly or not... For the price it's fine, and if you're not an everyday rice eater it's fine too. As a person that uses it almost every day I can't say I'm the happiest though and I'll be investing in a more expensive rice cooker soon, and it won't be from Aroma.
