As a forty-something woman I have been taking increasing measures to preserve my joints but still get a good workout. These Step Shox were recommended by folks on the forum at cathe.com, so I thought I would try them out. The large size is what will fit your standard risers - small is only for mini-risers. I have used them for several step routines and find they dampen the sound and the impact \"feel\" during the workout. My ankles and knees feel less jarred. This is a good, affordable product for anyone looking to achieve the same goals.
Returned the product. It was not obvious from the photo on the website, but the roller is not long enough to support your neck and low back. I am only 5'2\" and the roller is so short. This is not made for support of your back, so I'm not sure what it would be useful for!
I recently developed some joint inflammation issues in my hands, particularly my thumbs. Lifting weights became problematic because my hands would hurt the next day. I wanted to find an alternative and these gloves, though not terribly heavy, have allowed me to still work out with some weight. I combine them with wrist weights and do extra reps and sets to make up for the lighter weight. It all works pretty well. The gloves themselves are comfortable and easy to get on and off. I highly recommend them. Also, the site to store service at Wal-Mart is excellent.
Perfect for stretching, yoga, pilates, free-motion exercises, rehabilitation and massages
What our shoppers say:
This is an 18 inch foam roller that is used for massaging the muscles of your body and releasing tension in the body. It feels like a deep tissue massage and at first you may feel sore and really tender when you use it, but if you keep at it, it feels really good! I have already noticed a difference in my muscles and I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of buying one. Also this was the best price that I found anywhere, online or in store!
