I received the printer and it would only printout blank pages. I called the Brother help number. The person who answered the phone had me run some tests on the machine and said she was going to send me a new drum and toner. I never received them so I returned the printer to Walmart (did not have trouble returning the printer).
Easy to set up, expected to have to hassle with it but only took 10 minutes. Print quality the first time we used last night had some lines on the paper. Hoping that it will work it self out as we print more. So far it has been good.

What our shoppers say:
I love the printer, however, it DID NOT come with any ink. I paid almost $300 for this printer and HP forgot to include the ink that was supposed to be included with the printer. I went to the HP website to inform them of this and have heard nothing back from them. I know that the ink that is usually included is trial ink, but they could have at least put it in the box so I could have set my printer up instead of having to wait until I bought ink cartridges that should have been there in the first place. I was really disappointed, especially since I have always used HP and even the cheaper printers come with ink cartridges. So sad. Make sure your printer has ink if you buy this printer.
What I really like about this printer is The ability to plug in my USB flash drive and print whatever I have in there without using a computer. Double sided printing is a plus. Wifi easy to use. Touchscreen control work perfect. The only drawback that I see is that it takes little paper. Also, printing too much black on plain paper with small amounts of other colors look a little faded. She doesn't have the slot to print on CD's like the 875 series do. But I don't complain, she's really fast at printing multiple documents. Overall, she does more than I expected.
Easy wireless connect, intuitive control, works well in all features.\nWindows 8 Pro and XP OS used and works fine wireless with both (home network thru router).\nWhen using \"Ink Saver mode\", pictures and graphics do not appear usable\nbut text is still OK. That feature will save ink for your normal quick print needs.\nI used two of the MFC-480CN for 5 years now and it appears that Brother does have some of the\nmost inexpensive ink replacement cartridges available on the market. I have been able to use replacement (non-Brother) cartridges in the MFC-480CNs for the last 4 years now and purchasing them at less than $4 and sometimes $3 a color. Hoping to be able to do the same with this printer.
Refurbished unit did not work properly from the start - only printed about 10 copies then started jamming paper on every attempt to print. The copies that did print okay still crinkled on the pickup end during feed from the start.
This is the best color laser printer for home use in the HP lineup. Decent print quality, easy to use, excellent price from Walmart, not too complicated. The direct print option is a little bit flaky but I finally got it figured out. If you have a home router I'm sure this would not be an issue. I'm still learning to use all its capabilities but have no hesitation in recommending this all in one printer to others.
Was looking specifically for a color printer as I was finding myself running out to Staples or FedEx too often. Decided to invest in a color printer to save me time and money. Well worth the expense. Color from printer is nice and vibrant, set up was easy, shipping was quick. Printer color is off-white, not black like on picture.\n\nYou will not regret purchasing this product.\nI must mention that cartridges cost an arm and a leg. But, they all do.
i purchased it as part of my mobile office to take on trips in my carry-on bag. previously used $60 printer\/scanner that didn't make it through the last trip so well and took up a lot of space.\n\ncompact size. appears to be sturdily constructed.\n\nnot a lot of features but works. would be nice if it had some software to combine pages, scan direct to email, etc. especially for the price.\n\npaper feed leaves a lot to be desired.
It is fast, works with Win 7 and Win 8 and iOS and Android apps for mobile printing.\nIt has duplex printing, copying, scanning and faxing.\nPrints are clean and crisp.\nGreat for a home or home office with moderate printing needs.\nEach replacement toner cartridge prints approx 2200 sheets without being on Toner saver mode.\nI have it wirelessly networked to two computers an Ipad and an Android phone...Everything works flawlessly.\nThe drawbacks are:\n1. Cannot have wired and wireless networking simultaneously.\n2. Does not support Apple Air Print and Google Cloud Print.
