Played Diablo II for 10 years off and on. Waited to get Diablo III because of all the initial negative reviews. Finally got it a few weeks ago and really enjoy the graphics, the way the characters skills with weapons look on screen, the fact that you don't have to specify a weapon type (sword, axe, etc) but can interchange and still be successful. Like being able to switch out runes and not be locked into one playing type. Just finished Act III with Barbarian and am looking forward to playing the other characters as well. Spent $42 which was well worth the money. No trouble that the game is only online. Haven't bothered with the real money auction since it will be taken down in a few months.\nBuy it...you won't regret the purchase if you were a DII fanatic.
I bought this game for $9.99 for christmas for my 5 1/2 year old son, who so happens to be one of the biggest fans of the modern Transformers franchise. He also received a Nintento DS system and 2 other games. This is his favorite game by FAR.I was worried about the rating and was worried it might be too advanced or violent, but it's neither. He loves it and never needs help with it. It was his very first time ever playing a Nintendo DS as well, so I was shocked about how simple the game is to play. It features all of the main characters. which excites him, and it is not violent at all. It is just robots fighting each other. If this concept seems too violent then I highly suggest navigating your child towards a different interest besides Transformers. So if you are on the fence about buying this game for your child, Don't Be!!! My son plays it almost daily and has only gained interest in the game since playing it!
This was a gift I had to find for a child whose star I picked off of the Christmas tree at our church. This game was all she asked for. Walmart was the only place I could find it and it was delivered on the exact day they said it would. I can always count on Walmart.
When I first saw the game and saw how it was described i thought i would enjoy this, but right off the bat I just seemed to pass task after task with very little difficulty. Not to mention you really don't get to design your own character but rather given a choice. On top of that, when you get to develop your powers, you are limited in your options. Story line was very simple and I was able to pass the game within a few hours, second time around, i played it on the difficult setting and was still able to pass the game in about 2 hours. You really don't get to roam the world during the game play, as your path is pretty much set. In the end, the gameplay was very disappointing and much too simplistic.
This game is amazing! I bought it for my stepson's 9th birthday and he loves it. His dad loves it too. The ability to play with the different figures is a definite catch for the two of them. We definitely plan to buy more of the figures and games. We had to update our Wii system to play it. This can easily be done online or by contacting Nintendo, but it was a simple fix, once we figured it out. The shipping was amazing, as well. I bought the game online and received this package before the expected date, which made me very happy. I would recommend this game to any one. I'm not sure of the age range, but it is a great game.
