the cybertronian war continues
after the battle with the decepticon tripticon the autobots started to get ready to leave their home world. thus bringing the autobot arc that we know of from the g1 series and movie. there is more combat and shooting in this game and the battle will take your health bar and shield bar down. there is new items with in the game you got the energon cubes that we had to give more health. they changed the look of the ammo for you main blaster is blue and heavy is yellow. the energon shards from a fallen autobot or decepticon and boxes around help you buy upgrades and other items from telatran 1 stations. there is blue prints and audio logs for you to collect through each level some dont have them. as you progress through the game you will see places that you never seen in the series. there is pods placed around with blasters and power ups from shields and a drones that come out and help in the battle. there is many things you can upgrade on the items. some levels timing is everything from escaping to saving a bot in trouble. there is a new health and ammo bar. unlike the first one they have it at the bottom of the screen. the shield will refill as long your not taking damage. there was a few things i missed in this game that the first one had. the guns you can mount and take them off this one you cant remove them. remember the guys with the hammer and the battery packs you got to blast. there is new bots that has that kind of feature but they got two claws that will tear you apart. grimlock and bruticus has the most health and shield bars but still keep a eye on the bars. a lot of cool abilities to help you out calling in the air support selecting a area. you can pick up items and toss this is key to opening doors all the way and taking shields down that the battery pack is far away. grimlock can only transform to dino form when his rage icon is built up then you can go crunching down, stomp and whip incecticons. there is so many things going on in the game it feels like a movie. 13 levels to go through have fun going through and to the end until all is one.
I bought this game for $9.99 for christmas for my 5 1/2 year old son, who so happens to be one of the biggest fans of the modern Transformers franchise. He also received a Nintento DS system and 2 other games. This is his favorite game by FAR.I was worried about the rating and was worried it might be too advanced or violent, but it's neither. He loves it and never needs help with it. It was his very first time ever playing a Nintendo DS as well, so I was shocked about how simple the game is to play. It features all of the main characters. which excites him, and it is not violent at all. It is just robots fighting each other. If this concept seems too violent then I highly suggest navigating your child towards a different interest besides Transformers. So if you are on the fence about buying this game for your child, Don't Be!!! My son plays it almost daily and has only gained interest in the game since playing it!
The game play is very good, the controls are too. I've played the normal DS version and then purchased the 3DS version and it is way better (and the 3DS version is priced the same as the normal DS version#. The graphics are very good and when you turn the 3DS mode on, it looks awesome. Would recommend this to any transformers fan. The only downside is that the game is quite short. You'll beat it in about 8 hours, though you still may want to get all the medals will add another 4 hours more or less. The difficulty level is okay, a moderate challenge when you try to get the medals #'cause medals requires that you take some amunt of damage only).
It is funny how they sent me an email telling me to review this item when I have never received it. So okay here is my review. I purchased this item on 08\/02\/2013. I have not received the item yet. Today is 08\/17\/13. I have received everything else in this order but this game. They sent it through the us postal services. I have not seen any activity from the site that they shipped it through since 08\/07\/13. I sent an email. No reply. I will be calling them tomorrow. And about that if you think that you are going to get a number from this site, think again. I had to Google it. The game was suppose to be here for my son's birthday which is Thursday. So I most likely will be going to another store for this item because I know I will not find it in the store. Hopefully I will get my money back from something I never received.
It has been nearly 20 years since I found a Spider-Man game worth my time. I was already expecting this game to be another dud. I am happy to be wrong. It can have its \"glitchy\" moments, but they never interrupt gameplay. The graphics are the best I have ever seen in a Spider-Man game. The story takes place after the latest movie, and the graphics almost make it feel like you watching another movie. It is still not the \"perfect\" game, but it is the best in this series to date. I do recommend it to all Spidey fans.
