What our shoppers say:
Great computer!
This computer is similar to my 2 year old laptop but we needed another one. The processor is fast and memory is good. It is a little difficult to get used to Windows 8 with the tiles but I do like it because I can put the weather to my location and see it very easily as you can do with e-mail and photos and a lot of other things which makes it handy. If you install other software it goes on the tiles too and you can move them around so they are the first thing that you see which is nice for word, excel, etc.\n\nI haven't used the computer much for gaming, however, my kids have and said that it is good. The keys are a little bigger than my other acer so I'm trying to get used to that which will come with time. The screen is nice and big and the computer itself is very light. One reason I purchased this computer is for the keypad at the right - I love those and some do not have them.\n\nI would recommend this computer to others as a nice first or second computer. The price wasn't bad (425) which was in my price range. Shipping was super fast with only one day and I didn't even request fast shipping!

What our shoppers say:
Smaller screen but much better than HP Chromebook
Yes the Acer does have a smaller screen but it more than makes up with much better performance and growing room, like double the memory (4gigs vs 2 for HP) and a HUGE hard drive of 320 Gigs vs HP's.\n\nThe lack of Java has not been a problem unless you just have to have it and in that case HTML5 is typically an option which Chrome has not problem.\n\nAlso I have read a LOT of reviews slamming Chromebook's in general for not having JAVA but the reviewer's are confusing JAVA with JavaScript...they are NOT the same thing and Chrome handles JavaScript nicely, Java is more for visual effects like squishy buttons and such.\n\nIf you're running a windows machine simply remove Java then go online to see the difference, you will find online surfing no problem same with a Chromebook.\n\nYou CAN use a PC mouse with it and you CAN plug external sound into it but you will find as all Chromebooks printing to be difficult.\n\nLook and feel, the Acer is a much more solid feeling Laptop plus Acer actually builds their own Monitors (which are excellent and provide a tight high definition view)where the HP is cheesy and flimsy, the Acer is just a better higher quality product from top to bottom.\n\nAs with all Walmart purchases, if you don't like it, return it within 15 days, can't beat that!
