I ordered this computer because it was advertised as having a PCI-16 expansion slot. I wanted to add a graphics card and use it for gaming. It does have a PCI-16 slot, but the case is much smaller than I expected, and too narrow for a full height card. The PCI-16 slot is also at the bottom of the case, positioned so that a double width card cannot be installed. Since most decent graphics cards these days are full height and double width, this slot is fairly useless for adding a graphics card. In any case, the power supply would certainly be inadequate if a graphics card were installed, the label says it is capable of supplying a maximum of 80 (!) watts. The power supply is a long skinny form factor I am unfamiliar with and would likely be difficult to replace. The motherboard does have 4 slots for memory sticks, only one of which is installed; I suspect the advertised assertion that it can be expanded from 4 to 16 gigs of ram is probably correct. The small case does not seem to have space for any additional drives beyond the hard drive and DVD ROM drive installed.
Luckily Walmart accepted my return of what I consider to be a broken monitor (dead pixel in the center of the screen), but when I originally called Acer for help their way of handling the situation was unacceptable. As a result, with my refunded money, I bought a more expensive Asus monitor which more than exceeds my needs. I'm done with Acer products because their customer service is inferior!
Bought these PCs for work. These are compact units that pack all the necessary features. Not Powerhouses, but more than sufficient for regular office work (Quickbooks, MS office, browsing).

Good value for Money. These PCs replaced similar Veriton units (core 2 duo) from 5 years ago.

Substituted all the HDDs with SSDs. 6.6 on the WEI.
The ad said the height is adjustable. It is NOT adjustable. It barely tilts. There is NO height adjustment, a feature I expected and paid much extra for. It has a good display but I'm thinking of returning it because I paid too much not to have what I was promised
Works great with Windows 8. I had my doubts about the adjustable stand but its good and sturdy and adjust easily. The touch keyboard is good but not comfortable to type on for an extended period of time so buy yourself a cheap keyboard too. The touch functionality synced right up with no issues.
Ive had this monitor about a year now. Ive been thrilled with it, ever since I plugged it in
It has a nice big big square 19" screen. You have to pay so much more, for a widescreen with this much viewing area. I like viewing a lot of photography & artwork.
The pictures have an amazing realistic quality and detail.

I would recommend it to anyone, in a heartbeat
Easy to hook up.
Doesnt strain my eyes at all.
I purchased my Iconia W5 in the actual Wal-Mart store on 09/19/2013. Mine cost $478 and was regularly $498. The only difference between mine and this one is that my W5 has 32GB SSD instead of this one having 64GB SSD. I use my W5 for work, school and play.

Features I really like about this tablet:
• Full version of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 (Doesn’t include MS Access, but it’s compatible with my employer’s office suite) not having to purchase MS Office separately saves lots of $$$!
• Full version of MS Windows 8 (If you opted to subscribe to MS Office 365, it requires Windows 7 or 8)
• 32 GB Internal memory with micro SD slot and USB 3.0 (Expand the memory using a micro SD card or hook up external devices such as optical drive, hard drive, etc. You can use the micro USB cable included in the box for use on the tablet or use the full size USB that is on the keyboard.
• Very responsive touch screen
• Clarity of the capacitive touch screen
• Very responsive stylus keyboard writing area (pinch or extend your fingers on the screen to make text smaller or larger - acts like an iPad) - stylus not included but can be purchased for$5 & up
• Detachable keyboard that is large enough to use, if needed
• Built in Bluetooth for using Bluetooth devices such as a Bluetooth keyboard or other Bluetooth devices
• Built in Wi-Fi that I tether on my cell phone plan or link to a hotspot / wireless network
• Cost hundreds less than Windows Surface Pro or iPad – Two of the closest competitors of the Iconia W5 in my opinion
• 8MP rear camera / 2MP front camera
• A battery that is capable of maintaining charge for a full 10 hours of use at least. I can charge my battery at night and leave the device on and use it all day long and I haven’t used up all of the battery’s charge (A huge plus) - there is a battery in the tablet an also one in the docking keyboard
Disadvantage:
I can’t connect to my employer’s email exchange. This is no biggie probably for the MIS department to handle. I watched negative comments on the internet prior to purchase this tablet. So glad I didn't listen this time.
Replaced an Acer that had a motherboard failure with another that was as close to it as I could find and this fits into the category just great. I wanted win7, since I am used to it and it was pretty much trouble-free in my use.
I very pleased with this pc. There was one glitch when I started using it, but it was an easy fix. I went to 2 of my usual pages, and the address bar turned red w/a CAUTION. Tech support asked me to look at the lower right of the screen and read the date & time... WRONG! I couldn't believe it was that simple. She told me to click on it, make the changes, and re-try those pages: Problem solved!!!
I'm glad I chose this laptop, although I did have to order it Site-to-Store, because Windows 7 is impossible to find "in" the stores.
This laptop is good! I am satisfied with it. I wasn't expecting top of the line and so I wasn't disappointed. It runs pretty fast, it's sleek, and it's light weight. A heads up it has no internet jack to plug straight into the wall. Wifi only! That wasn't a problem except when I was trying to set up internet and couldn't get my router to work! Overall I'm glad I got it and didn't pay more for a bigger brand name.
