I needed a tent that wasn't too big to pack on my motorcycle but was big enough for 2 adults along with storage for gear. This Colman dome tent was perfect! Its quick & Easy to setup takes me less than 10 minutes it is extremely well ventilated so ideal for warm weather and it is very waterproof and does not leak! Had 70-80 mph winds blow through campground up north last month with Heavy rains and this tent wasn't fazed a bit.\nThis tent also rolls up very compact and lightweight & setup is so easy anyone can do it.\nIt has a large front zippered door and you get a nice breeze with the zippered screens open 5 vented areas total.
Roomy tent with good vestibule. Very heavy for hiking. Quality is good, but not great. We have about 10 of these in our Scout Troop and in the first year we've had a couple of zipper issues and multiple holes in the floor. Zipper issue are quality based, which Coleman customer support was great. Holes in the floor were inexperienced Scouts.
I love love love this tent! We got it at the end of the year sale at Walmart in 2010 or 2011 (I forget!). We have gone camping in it around 4-5 times. Our only bad weather night was this past weekend where we dealt with 3 bad rainy days in a row. The tent held up very nicely! We sleep with a queen sized air mattress, **BLOW THE MATTRESS UP IN THE TENT** b\/c the doors are not big enough to put it in afterwards. There's not a good place to stand up, but we don't spend much time in the tent when we're camping. This is SUPER easy to put up and down! It takes around 10 minutes at most to put it up and less than that to put it down. It has a few pockets around the inside of the tent (great place to stash your cell phone) and one that hooks at the highest point of the tent; that's where we normally hook our light to. We've never slept without the \"hood\", but on a nice weekend, I am sure it would be like heaven.
Purchased 4 a few months ago for Boy Scout group. Tested them and found them to be perfect for our use, low cost, well designed and tough enough to standup for use for several years with reasonable care.
It doesn't get any easier than this. Works well. Held up to breezes in the 15-20 range. Light to moderate rain didn't come in, except when you open the flap to get in or out. Get the next size up for comfort if you will be using a queen air bed. It's great for simple, fair weather camping. You can't beat it.
